Joe seemed to be busy with something. Suddenly, Rowan heard a familiar voice ask, “Why don’t we go back to school to take a look?”

Rowan’s eyes widened. He asked, “Are you with Vera now?”

Everyone had a great time on the yacht, reconnecting with each other last night. A lot of high–school classmates eventually became university

classmates, and most of them stayed in Jipsburg. They’d grown up together. Naturally, they had a ball of a time.

Either way, this wasn’t an issue he needed to worry about. Rowan didn’t have the guts to tell Skylar what he’d discovered. After all, Joe had just helped Skylar settle Charles‘ problems.

Skylar and Natalie were silent in the car.

However, they were adept at cheering themselves up. When they eventually got to the dealership, they made eye contact and smiled, understanding what the other was going through.

“As women, we mustn’t mistreat ourselves, right? Let’s buy a nice car!” Natalie exclaimed with a grin.

Skylar agreed. She added, “Let’s go! We’ll pick a gorgeous one!”

They couldn’t rely on men, but money would always be there for them!

After getting her car, Skylar would go back to work tomorrow.
