Chapter 1191: Meeting Gift
The Anderson family, like the Turner family, had more sons than daughters in every generation. If the
Anderson family had a daughter, Antonio wouldn't have had to protect Penelope at all.
Selena was brought back to her senses by Antonio's words and temporarily put aside her doubts,
continuing to scroll down with a smile.

becoming more delicate as they grew. The only thing that didn't change much was their expression.
Although such young children wouldn't have any particularly noticeable expressions, their coldness
was still evident.
Selena stopped at a photo and asked, "When was this taken?"
Antonio glanced at the picture Selena had stopped at. It was a small figure made of snow jade, dressed
in exquisite black clothes and a black cap, with a long face and long eyelashes, and a pair of black
eyes that seemed to see through everything.
The little guy sat on a blanket, holding his arms and expressionless. Although his face was young and
innocent, everyone could sense his contempt.
"This was taken when he was one year old. His mother dressed him up a bit, but you see his
expression? He looks like he's owed a million dollars by someone," Antonio said.
"Was Osvaldo so lacking in childishness when he was young?" Selena asked, blinking.
"He wasn't lacking in childishness, he didn't have any!" Antonio said with a black face. "Apart from
crying when he was born, I never heard him shout once in his childhood!"
"When he was three years old, he had a high fever in the middle of the night one winter. His mother
went to wake him up in the morning, but he didn't respond. Finally, his father went to lift his blanket, and
he just said calmly, 'I'm probably sick.' Listen, can a child with a fever of 39 degrees say that?"
Selena was speechless.
She remembered when she was a child, even a small cut would make her cry and cause a commotion
in the whole family. She silently lowered her head.
"On his fourth birthday, I bought him a Transformers model. Guess what he said to me?" Antonio
seemed to recall something and his face grew even darker.
"What did he say?" Selena was curious.
"He looked at me disdainfully and said, 'Grandpa, you're so childish.' " Antonio raised his eyebrows in
anger. "I'm so old, and I'm being called childish by a four-year-old brat."
Selena remembered when she was ten years old, holding onto her mother's neck and saying she
wanted to be her good baby forever.
She lowered her head and continued flipping through the album.
It was like going through the footprints of Osvaldo's growth, page by page, watching him go from a
beautiful child to a handsome and cold young boy.
Selena turned to another page and a picture suddenly caught her eye. She froze in place, "This is...?"
The picture showed a delicate and handsome young boy in black clothes with black hair, looking cold
and indifferent.
She frowned.
Antonio looked over and sneered, "That's him at the age of twelve, his mother took the photo. This kid
never lacked love since he was a child, but somehow he's become more and more 'heartless and
unfeeling' as he grows up..."
Selena stared at the refined features of the young boy, feeling a faint sense of familiarity.
Suddenly, a ripple stirred in a corner of her memory, and Selena eagerly turned to the next page, only
to see a blank space.
Disappointment rose in Selena's heart, "Why is there nothing there?"
Antonio grumbled, "After he turned twelve, he never let anyone take his picture again, not even his
mother..."
Selena frowned, "Why?"
"I don't know," Antonio explained, seeing Selena's disappointment. "Maybe it had something to do with
him being kidnapped that year..."
Before Antonio could finish his sentence, Osvaldo suddenly walked in from outside and saw the album
in Selena's hands, "Selena, what are you doing?"
Selena turned her head to the black-haired man behind her, and in that moment, it was as if the young
boy in the picture had suddenly grown up and appeared before her, vivid and handsome.
Selena smiled, "I'm looking at Grandpa's precious collection."
Osvaldo could probably guess what it was, and he walked over expressionlessly, helping her up. "My
mother is looking for you."
Selena put down the album and obediently let him lead her away.
Antonio looked at his grandson's spineless look and raised his hand, but the butler walked up with a
smile and handed a delicate antique box to Selena, "Madam Selena, this is from the old master for
you."
Selena didn't refuse and took the box, "Thank you, Grandpa." Antonio waved his hand, signaling for
them to leave.
After Osvaldo left with Selena, Antonio sat in place for a long time before sighing heavily, "This girl is
also a ruthless person."
No wonder, based on Osvaldo's temperament, he was willing to indulge her. However, the more such a
woman is, the less she can be let go. If anything happens in the future, the two will face off against
each other, and there may be trouble.
The butler advised, "Madam Selena has had a difficult background, and it's inevitable that she may be
a bit cold in her dealings with people." Antonio looked a bit disheartened, "I'm worried..."
He was worried that Cassius' tragedy would be repeated in Osvaldo.
The butler smiled, "Master, you're too attached to the situation. Although Madam Selena may be cold-
hearted, precisely because of this, she's willing to fulfill your wish for the young master. From this
perspective, her dedication to the young master is even more valuable."
Antonio immediately smiled and stroked his beard, "That little brat finally has someone who can control
him..."
After returning to her room, Selena opened the gift Antonio had given her. Looking at the thing lying at
the bottom of the box, Selena couldn't help but exclaim, "The old man's really generous..."
Leia looked curiously and peered over. On the pure black mat lay a piece of jade. One side was white,
crystal clear, and pure white, while the other side was green, transparent, and lustrous. The middle
transition area was a very nice white-to-green gradient. It was actually a rare tricolor jade.
Leia said with a smile, "The old man has a lot of treasures, Madam Selena doesn't need to mind."
Selena casually placed the thing on the dressing table and asked with a smile, "How has Penelope
been behaving?"
Leia pouted, "Since that beating last time, that woman has been very docile and I haven't noticed
anything strange."
Seeing Selena's silence, Leia added, "But don't worry, Madam Selena. Young master has specially put
her in a heavy-duty prison..."
