Colby gently kissed Sophie's forehead. For months, he'd been missing Sophie intensely. The rumors flying around about their supposed marital troubles had been like a constant itch he couldn't scratch, and more than once, he was tempted to confront those spreading the nonsense. Colby chuckled at her reaction, then turned to Adler, who was lounging in front of the computer. "Keep it up, and you can forget about having a wedding," he warned playfully.

"Whoa, whoa! Don't jinx it!" Adler almost jumped out of his seat.

Adler joked seriously, "Can't do that. At Colby and Sophie's wedding, you promised to marry me! Sophie can back me up on that!"
