Chapter 211 Finding Out About Her Identity

Joanne lost her appetite due to her busy thoughts. She only finished half of her meal before resting on

the sofa in the living room to brainstorming.

While she was deep in thought, Nathan's phone rang in the living room. Joanne glanced at it and saw

the name 'Jodie' on the screen. Just as she was about to ask Nathan who 'Jodie' was, he stood up to

pick up the call.

Joanne's curiosity sparked. She pricked her ears and listened carefully. She heard Nathan speaking

gently and whispered the name 'Jodie' softly. After the other side said something, Nathan replied with

an 'Oh no!' and he added, "Look at my poor memory. Please keep it for me. I'll collect it before I return

to Haverland. Thank you."

Joanne asked deliberately, "Nathan, who called you? Why did I hear a woman's voice? Are you having

an affair with another lady behind Irene's back?"

Nathan rushed to explain, "What nonsense are you spluttering? I went to the villa on the outskirts to do

some gardening for the roses, and I had misplaced my watch. The gardener-in-charge found my watch

and gave me a call to tell me."

"Don't lie to me, Nathan." Joanne laughed, "I just saw the name of the person on your phone screen.

Why did you save a servant's phone number as well?"

"Jodie isn't a servant of our family. However, now she's helping to take care of the villa's garden, so I

referred to her as the gardener."

Britney stopped in her meal and put down her cutleries. She walked over and asked, "Who's Jodie?"

Her interest was piqued by Nathan's explanation.

body. Plus, judging from the scene that time, someone seemed to be after her life. If I posted her

photos on the Internet, wouldn't it be terrible if her enemy discovered her? I can only ask someone to

investigate it secretly, not via the public."

Joanne nodded, "You're right. We really can't do that. How about this? My good friend, Linda's

husband, is a private detective. Send me Jodie's photo, and I'll get him to help investigate quietly."

Rowane's photo to Joanne.

She was astonished and said, "She looks similar to Irene indeed. She seems younger and prettier than

her. She must have a gentle personality."

Nathan chortled, "You're amazing, Grandma. You can tell someone's personality just by looking at their

photo. Jodie is indeed a docile and diligent girl. Hodge and the others fancy her a lot."

Joanne suddenly had an idea when she noticed Nathan's face to be full of approval as he mentioned

Jodie. She suggested, "Nathan, why not invite her over to our house for a meal? It's rather pitiful that

she has to suffer like this in a foreign place. Plus, Grandma likes crowds. So, having a guest over for a

meal would be nice too."

Britney agreed and added, "She has a point. Our house is big, but we don't have many people staying

here. It would be livelier if friends came over, so why not you bring Jodie home for us to get to know

"Okay, I'll send someone to fetch her here for you guys to get to know each other," Nathan thought

about it and agreed with the idea. Rowane was a gentle and obedient girl, so Britney would love her a

lot. If she could come over to accompany Britney often, then Britney would be joyful. After all, he would

be returning to the country soon and would not be back for some time. Britney was rather annoyed with
