When Sydney looked over, Gordon and Mayra were already gone.

Mayra led Gordon down another street, separating him from his group.

Gordon asked, “Why are you here?”

Mayra’s eyes sparkled as she looked at him and said, “It’s fate. Do you believe it? I came here with Andy. I didn’t expect to run into you.

“Gordon, did you miss me?” Mayra asked boldly.

Even amidst the bustling crowd in the street, Gordon could hear her words clearly. He didn’t answer, but his eyes said it all. At that moment, not even the dazzling lights around them could outshine the sparkle in his eyes.

“If you won’t say anything, then forget it. You can go. I’ll head back,” Mayra teased him playfully.

Gordon held the cotton candy Mayra had bought for him in one hand and grabbed her with the other. “Are you hungry?”

Mayra looked at him and said, “I don’t eat things from strangers. Andy says eating random things can give me a stomachache, unless it’s from my boyfriend.

“Gordon, I asked you the last time if you wanted to be my boyfriend, but you didn’t answer. So, I won’t let you hold my hand.” As Mayra said this, she broke free from his grip.

As she walked forward, a huge crowd suddenly came over. Gordon quickly caught up to her. “Don’t run off. You’ll get lost.”

He took Mayra’s hand once again. Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

When she turned to look at him, her gaze was serious. “Gordon, do you want to be my boyfriend or not? If you don’t, I won’t ask again.”

She could feel that Gordon’s palm was sweaty from nervousness.

“Yes.”

While waiting for his answer, Mayra didn’t know why she felt so nervous. Only

when she heard his definite answer did she reveal a bright smile.

She had never been worried that Gordon would change his mind.

If she hadn’t seen her graduation photo kept in a thick Eldorish book in his study in her past life, Mayra wouldn’t have had such confidence. After she rejected Gordon in her past life, they never saw each other again.

Even when she saw him on the street for the first time, she wanted to shoo him away. She was too disgusted to even look at him.

But now, no one in the world treated her as well as Gordon did.

What kind of love could make Gordon keep her photo for over a decade?

That night in the Braun, the breeze was gentle.

In a quiet, unremarkable pasta shop by the street, Mayra propped her chin on both hands. She gazed at the person before her as if she couldn’t get enough of him.

“I remember you were still in Belchester this morning. When did you come to Candor City?”

Gordon replied, “I came right after I texted you. Have you been sick? Why haven’t you been to class these past few days?”

Mayra nodded. “My gastric condition flared up again. Andy happened to have a business trip here, so he brought me here for a check–up. After the check–up tomorrow, we should be heading back.”

After a pause, she added, “Gordon, are you afraid Andy will catch us dating?”
