Revenge After rebirth (Mayra and Anderson)

Chapter 51

"I- It's fine. I can just sit here. It's really alright," Mayra rambled, attempting to ease the tension. Her hands flailed about in the air as she continued, "I can reach the dishes on both sides easily if I sit here. It's really convenient."

Isabel also didn't expect Anderson to care this much about Mayra. According to the rules, Mayra should indeed be seated next to Anderson instead. She smiled, chiming in to defuse the situation as well, "It's also my fault. I should've reminded them earlier. Andy, let's just eat first."

Anderson pulled out a chair on his left. "Sit here from now on."

Mayra was flabbergasted. Even the maids began staring at them in bewilderment.

Isabel was already standing in that position. Her smile froze, and the air seemed to thicken. It was humiliating because she was meant to settle in that seat, given her position as his fiancée and the future lady of the Barlow household.

Mayra could only scurry to Anderson's right with her bowl. "Andy, have you forgotten that I'm left-handed? I'll bump into you if I sit on your left. I'll sit here instead. All my favorite dishes are here.

"Isa, what's wrong? Why aren't you sitting down?" Mayra turned to Anderson and chided, "Andy, you should've pulled a chair out for Isa."

Isabel snapped back to her senses quickly, and her features softened into a smile again. "It- It's fine." Nheless, the awkwardness on her face was palpable as she forced a smile.

Anderson picked some food for Isabel during the meal, and the gloom on her face vanished instantly. "Thanks."

Mayra peeled a shrimp with her bare hands and placed it on Isabel's plate. "Try this, Isa."

Before she could speak, Anderson took the peeled shrimp out of her plate. "Isa's allergic to seafood, so she can't have this. Just eat to your heart's content. Don't worry about others."

Isabel glanced over at him lovingly. "I didn't expect you to remember." Anderson simply mumbled a reply.

Mayra, on the other hand, gave no heed to their emotional exchange. She indulged her food passionately to the point that her hands were covered in

oil.

She was too lazy to cook for the

past few days, so she ended up filling herself with some random food downstairs or just some simple mac and cheese. She was starving now but she missed Gordon's cooking.

Mayra felt slightly tired after her meal. She went up to Anderson after she washed her hands in the kitchen. "Andy, I'm going to bed now since I have school tomorrow."

Leaning against the couch, Anderson was sipping tea while he read the news. She returned to the guest room and realized that the maids had already prepared a bath for her.

She sank into the comfort of the bath before she got out and changed into her pajamas. She read for a bit on the bed before she finally drifted off to sleep.

Little did she notice that Anderson

Mayra's lashes fluttered as her eyes opened. She leaned against the bed, her locks cascading to the side as she called out to him coquettishly, "Andy..."

She was squinting at him. He tucked her under the sheets as he sat on the edge of the bed, holding her up. She leaned against his shoulders. "Are you getting used to the bed?" He didn't let go of her hand.

Her hands rested in his slightly calloused palms. His gaze fell on her exposed neck through her white chiffon pajamas.

Mayra felt like she was nestling in his embrace as she lay on her side. "Where's Isa?"
