Chapter 447
Chapter 447
Abe's heart pounded with a hidden fear.
Celbert Strauss approached Sebastian and shouted, "Kneel!"
Sebastian stood his ground. Even though he had lost his memory, he hadn't lost his pride. Taking a few punches and kicks was one thing, but kneeling? No way.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
"Hey, are you deaf? Didn't you hear me talking to you?" Celbert bellowed, his anger flaring when Sebastian didn't respond. He raised his hand and slapped him.
Sebastian's instincts kicked in just as the slap was about to land. He caught Celbert's wrist in mid-air.
It was just his reflex. He might let someone hit him, but not in the face. Only Lillian had ever done that. Despite his memory loss, his reflexes wouldn't allow it.
"Ah! Let go of my hand. It's going to break!" Celbert screamed, tears welling up from the pain. He tried to pull his hand free, but the pain sapped his strength.
"Fool, let him go!" Abe rushed over to help. He tried to pry Sebastian's hand off but couldn't budge it. Frustrated, he unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on Sebastian.
Sebastian stood there like an iron statue. He barely flinched, as Abe's attacks felt like nothing more than a light tickle.
In contrast, Abe winced in pain with every hit. The harder he struck, the more it hurt him. After a few punches and kicks, he stopped.
Sebastian then released Celbert's wrist. "I told you, I didn't hit anyone. They hit me."
"Bastard, you'll pay for this!"
Celbert and Abe furned, but deep down, they believed Sebastian. They were warriors, and their blows against Sebastian had left them aching. How could ordinary housekeepers stand a chance?
Their egos couldn't handle being overpowered by someone they deemed inferior. So, they immediately sought out other Strauss family members.
"Mr. Kevin, Ms. Lorraine, you have no idea how arrogant that fool is. He broke the housekeepers' arms and legs! You have to help us!"
Kevin Strauss sneered. "You need me for this? Aren't you both warriors? Can't you handle a fool?"
Celbert and Abe's faces turned red with embarrassment. "That fool is probably a warrior as well. His defense is solid, and he's really strong. We can't take him down."
"Useless!" Kevin scowled. He turned to the others and said, "Why don't we teach that fool a lesson?"
"But Artemis brought him here. If we mess with him, won't Artemis come after us?" One of them voiced a concern.
They were just extended family members, while Artemis was a direct descendant with far superior talent. She could easily handle them if she chose to.
Kevin smirked. "Then, let's get Ms. Clara involved."
"Great. With Ms. Clara backing us, even if we end up killing that fool, Artemis won't be able to do a thing about it." Everyone nodded in agreement.
The "Ms. Clara" they were referring to was Clara Strauss, Cleef's daughter. She had a higher status despite her lower cultivation base compared to Artemis.
Kevin and the others quickly sought her out.
Clara immediately agreed when she heard about the plan to deal with Sebastian. She harbored intense resentment toward Artemis, who eclipsed her in every way-talent, strength, and beauty.
Clara was always on the lookout for ways to undermine Artemis. Since Artemis brought Sebastian back and they were close, teaching him a lesson would be like slapping Artemis' face.
Clara wasn't going to let this chance slip away.
