"You can stay here for the time being." Artemis led the man she had rescued from drowning into a cave.

Due to his dual cultivation, he had survived. Otherwise, even someone as strong as Julian wouldn't have made it. "By the way, you've lost your memory and don't know your name. How about I give you one? Since I found you in the water, let's call you Seamus," Artemis suggested.

Sebastian nodded.

"Get some rest for now. I'll get you some daily essentials and then take you to Dr. Lorence for a check-up."

She left the cave and soon returned with toiletries and essentials. Then, she took him to see Amos.

Phoenix Island was small and sparsely populated. It had only three villages, each home to one of the major families. In total, there were around a thousand inhabitants.

The total population of the three major families was under 5,000. Less than ten percent were cultivators, and their skills were far from exceptional. Only the patriarchs of the three major families had reached the Divine Realm.

With Artemis' help, he had taken up a position as a household staff for the Strauss family. He handled tasks like sweeping and watering the plants.

Due to his memory loss, silence, and outsider status, the other housekeepers looked down on him. The Strauss family's young heirs and heiresses treated him poorly. They often scolded or hit him.

Sebastian endured it silently to avoid causing Artemis trouble. Even when beaten, his stoic behavior only made others view him as a fool.

"Fool, come here and wash these clothes!"

While sweeping the floor, several housekeepers dumped three large basins of filthy clothes in front of him.

"This isn't part of my duties," Sebastian replied.

"Hey! How dare you dare talk back? You must be itching for a beating." One of the housekeepers kicked Sebastian with a snarl.
