Rejected Slave To The Alpha

Chapter 100

Chapter 100.

Aisha’s POV.

I walked out the door, my mind still reeling from the events of the past few hours. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right, that something was off. I had seen Aurora sp ike the drink with my own eyes, there was no doubt about it.-

But now, she was completely fine, and I couldn’t understand how that was possible. Had I imagined it? Was I going crazy? I shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. I couldn’t let my mind wander down that path, it would only lead to madness. Nelly was making it more hard for me, by not believing me.

I entered the party and I walked straight to the bar section, tsat at the bar, my fingers drumming restlessly on the counter.

“I want something strong,” I mumbled as I looked around the room, the sound of the music a noise in my ear.

“Yes, my lady,” The bartender said, bowing down.

The bartender handed me a shot of tequila, and I downed it in one gulp. The harsh burn of the liquor did nothing to quell the churning in my stomach. I looked around the room, searching for any sign of Aurora.

Her absence was making me increasingly anxious, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was amiss.

My wolf was snarling in my head, its growls increasing in intensity. Something was wrong, I could feel it in my bones.

I took another shot of tequila and I stood up. I arranged my clothes and put on a fake smile, nodding my head at the people who were greeting me. And then I bumped into someone, spilling drinks at her.

“I’m so sorry,” I said with a polite smile, even though I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. The woman who I had bumped into bowed her head, her cheeks flushed.

“It’s fine, my lady,” she murmured, her eyes cast downward. I nodded, giving her a small wave as I moved past her.

My eyes scanned the room, searching for any sign of Aurora. But she was nowhere to be found. My anxiety grew with every passing moment, and I could feel my breath quickening.

I pulled the woman aside, my hands gripping her arms tightly.

“Have you seen Aurora, the new serv ant?” I asked, my voice low as my eyes scanned her.

“No my lady,” she replied, her gaze still lingered on the floor.

“Are you sure you haven’t seen Aurora?” I asked again, my voice low and urgent.

The woman’s eyes widened and she shook her head, clearly intimidated by my intensity.

“I haven’t seen her, I swear,” she said, her voice trembling.

I released my grip on her arms, my mind racing. I had to find Aurora, something was definitely wrong.

Without thinking, I pulled the diamond ring and earrings from my ears, the heavy weight of them suddenly feeling oppressive. I held them out to the woman, my hand trembling slightly.

“Take these, as a gift,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. The woman looked at me, her wide with surprise.

“To what do I owe this honor, my lady?” she asked, her voice soft and reverent. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what I was about to say.

“I need you to do a job for me,” I said, my voice steady but my heart racing.

“What is it my lady?” She asked, her gaze piercing. I took a deep breath, I looked around and then shifted my gaze back to her. I cleared my thoart.

“I want you to keep an eye on Aurora for me,” I said, my voice low and urgent.

She studied me for a moment, her gaze searching my face as if she could read my thoughts. Finally, she nodded.

“I accept,” she said softly, her voice filled with resolve. A wave of relief washed over me. I didn’t know how I would have managed this task alone.

“Thank you,” I said, my voice heavy with gratitude. The woman inclined her head, a small smile playing on her lips.

“It is my honor to serve you, my lady,” she said, and I felt my heart swell with warmth. She turned around and walked away, when something creeped in my mind.

“Wait,” I said, my voice firm but not unkind. She turned back to face me, her expression curious.

“What is it, my lady?” she asked. I hesitated, a faint blush rising in my cheeks.

“I was wondering…what’s your name?” I asked, my voice soft. She looked surprised for a moment, and then a small smile played on her lips.

“Lily,” she said, her voice gentle.

“Lily,” I repeated, testing the sound of the name on my tongue. “I like that,” I said, my lips curving up into a smile. “Now I paused, my thoughts racing. I didn’t want to offend her, but I needed to make one thing clear. “I need to ask you one more thing,” I said, my voice low and serious.

“Of course, my lady,” she said, her expression sérious as well. “What is it?” I took a deep breath.

“I need you to keep this a secret,” I said, my eyes meeting hers. “I need you to swear not to tell anyone what we’ve discussed here.” She nodded, her eyes solemn.

“I swear on my life, my lady. No one will hear a word of this,” she swore.

I watched her closely, searching for any sign of deception. But her eyes were clear and steady, and I knew I could trust her.

“Thank you,” I said, a wave of relief washing over me. “Now, we should get going.” She nodded, and Lily turned to leave. But before she could, I stopped her once

more.

“Lily,” I said, and she turned back to me. “Be careful,” I said, my voice soft but firm. “I want you to come back in one piece.” She smiled, her eyes warm and kind.

“I will, my lady,” she said.

I walked out of the room and into the hallway, my head spinning with thoughts

and emotions. Just then, I spotted Harry coming towards me, and without thinking, I ran to him, wrapping my arms around him in a tight embrace. He returned the hug, his arms strong and comforting.

“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice low and gentle. I just nodded, unable to find the words to express what I was feeling. He brushed his hand through my hair, the simple gesture soothing my jangled nerves.

“Or do you need me in the other room?” he asked, teasing me. I hit his chest smiling.

“You’re sick,” I said, and he chuckled.

“Come on, I was only trying to help,” he said, with a sly smile.

“Uh! Help?” I said, rolling my eyes. He pulled me close, removing a strand from

hair.

“What’s bothering my baby?” He asked, caressing my cheeks.

“Tired as f uck, I need to rest,” I mumbled.

“Okay, go rest, I will join you in a bit,” he said, and I nodded. He leaned and kissed my forehead.

I made my way to my room, my feet dragging along the cold stone floor. The room was dark and quiet, the only sound was the steady thump of my heartbeat in my ears. I lay down on the bed, the soft mattress cus hioning my tired body.

I stared up at the ceiling, the darkness of the room slowly consuming my

thoughts. I wondered if Lily would find anything to help, or if she would only add to my confusion.
