Rejected My Cheating Alpha Novel by C. Jacobs

Chapter 10

After bidding farewell to Alpha Derick, I set out for the Flame Forest, the site of the alpha assessment. This was Hadley’s dying wish, his closest dream, and now I wanted to show him the future that was supposed to be his.

As I reached the forest, a sudden wave of pain coursed through me, and my wolf howled in agony. I could feel the bond between Alpha Derick and me slowly dissolving. The mark on the back of my neck was fading, a sign that Alpha Derick was letting me go.

He sent me a final message: He left me an enormous fortune, more than I could ever spend in a lifetime.

I blocked all his contacts, then put my phone away and continued walking with Hadley.

Since Hadley’s death, I had been drowning in endless sorrow, unable to sleep. But here in the forest, for the first time, a small part of that darkness began to lift.

I walked in the forest for an entire day before leaving.

Later, I took Hadley to the beach.

There, I scattered his ashes into the vast ocean.

Hadley was always an optimistic soul, a lover of freedom. He had dreams of soaring across the vast world, and the sea was his favorite place. After returning Hadley to the ocean, granting him the freedom he cherished, I began to reflect on the eighteen years of marriage to Alpha Derick, and everything I had done for this family.

It was all for Hadley and Alpha Derick.

But now, it was time for me to live for myself. f.

Finally, I found myself at a place I never thoughtt I’d go: an orphanage.

It wasn’t a large orphanage. It was in a remote location, with very basic conditions. Manyy children were crammed into a single room.

Some of the newer arrivals didn’t even maave beds. Their clothes were faded fromtdoormany washes, and most of them tooked painfully thin, clearly malnourished.

Some of the children bore the traits of wolf pups, with a tail and pointed ears.

When they saw me arrive, they gathered in the yard, their large eyes filled with curiosity as they stared at me. There was something endearing about them, yet their gaze also held a hint of helplessness, fragility, and fear.

Despite their fear of strangers, they were polite, standing quietly as they observed me.

They would shyly smile and call me “Miss.” They looked absolutely adorable.

After speaking with the head of the orphanage, I learned that most of the children there were abandoned. Some were left by their parents right after birth, while others were abandoned because they were omegas. These children had it much harder than those in other orphanages.

Hearing this, I offered to provide substantial financial assistance to the orphanage. My only condition was that I be allowed to live there and personally care for the children. The headmaster readily agreed, explaining that they were in desperate need of funds and even more so of caregivers.

So that day, I ordered custom–made new clothes for all the children. The orphanage expanded its facilities, adding new rooms, and bringing in more supplies and entertainment options.

After I joined, the once dilapidated orphanage was completely renovated. Every child received new clothes and fresh bedding. Each one had their own bed, new toys, and personal belongings.

The orphanage had been transformed into a place where the children could feel safe and cared for.

Seeing all the new things being brought in, the children were overjoyed, dancing around with excitement. Their eyes sparkled like crescents, their faces lit up with wide smiles.NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

One little child couldn’t contain their excitement and ran over to give me a hug. I was taken aback for a moment, but then I felt my eyes well up with tears.

Though Hadley was gone, my love for him had not faded. I would do everything in my power to bring warmth and happiness to these children.
