Chapter 826 Temporary Life
Chapter 826 Temporary Life
The soup was cold and a little bit smelly, but Finn didn't care. He no longer felt hungry after eating
several meat cubes without any taste.
Chenille walked in at this time.
"He asked me to tell you that you are only in temporary charge of your life, and he'll come to take it
someday."
He sat down and said directly.
Finn knew who the "he" referred to, but he didn't care. In his mind, it was a gain for even just living one
more day. He would rather make a plan when Finley came for him again.
Finding the soup was drunk, Chenille asked Finn whether he needed more.
Finn nodded. Then Chenille went to get him another bowl of hot soup.
"Does he have a grudge against you?" Chenille asked when sitting down.
Finn thought for a while. 'It seems that I'm not relevant with the grudge.'
It was odd enough that the brothers from the Nie family picked on him. It made him more depressed
that the master came for him after the brothers died.
He was in a maelstrom even without knowing how he got into it.
"I know someone has set me up from the beginning. But I don't know who he is yet. I will definitely find
him out." Finn said fiercely.
"You should probably think about how to keep your life first." Chenille said.
Finn smiled bitterly. It was hard enough to keep his life in the face of a martial artist.
"It may be easier if I become a martial artist."
That was just Finn making a joke of himself.
But Chenille thought about it and said seriously, "That means we have to kill a martial artist, since there
are already twelve of martial artists."
"But becoming a master requires killing a master while killing a master requires becoming a martial
artist. It's a paradox like the question whether it was black holes or galaxy that existed first." Finn
smiled.
Chenille didn't respond, probably because he thought so.
Finn had recovered after resting for a period of time.
He couldn't do much when resting. It was Chenille who took care of him, so Finn was grateful to him.
That afternoon, someone entered the forest and walked straight to the house where Finn was at.
This man was nearly two meters tall, with a thick beard. He was muscular, which made him look
powerful.
He walked in the house and found Finn sitting there, so he asked, "Is there a martial artist?"
Finn saw him in a long distance. He didn't move after finding that he was not Finley.
He knew the man was looking for Sienna, but she was not here. So, he answered, "No. You're looking
in the wrong place."
The man didn't believe and asked again, "But I heard there is a female master in here. Don't you know
it?"
Finn ignored him, thinking that the man might want to learn something from Sienna.
Realizing Finn was ignoring him, the man was ready to look for Sienna in other places.
Chenille walked out and said, "There was a martial artist. But she hasn't come back for a long time."
He must hear the man's question.
The man looked at Chenille gratefully.
"So, do you know when she will come back?" he asked again.
Chenille couldn't answer him this time. He was also waiting for Sienna.
"I don't know." he shook his head and said.
The man left since he couldn't get anything useful here.
"Why are you waiting for Sienna?" Finn asked after a while.
Chenille didn't answer but kept doing his own things.
Finn found he didn't answer, so he just continued eating the pomegranate in his hand.
Chenille was waiting for Sienna, but Finn didn't know what he himself was waiting for. He didn't dare to
come back to the city, afraid that Finley would come for him. However, hiding here meant that he might
become a wild man.
'Maybe I should find the way out.'
Two days after, an unexpected person came.
Finn became scared when he found the beautiful woman in court dress brought a girl and came to the
house.
Different from Finn, the girl was happy to see Finn. If the woman wasn't holding her back, she probably
would have rushed to him.
"Why are you still here? I told you to leave." the woman said indifferently.
"Something happened..." Finn didn't know how to explain. Fortunately, the woman didn't really want to
know. She interrupted Finn and said,
"Never mind. Fortunately you're still here. The kid wants to meet you. Have a talk with her." She let the
girl go after saying that.
The girl rushed to Finn like a horse without a rein.
Finn didn't feel much. There was a blank in the girl's memory. Actually they just stayed together for a
couple of days for the second time. But the girl liked him somehow.
Probably she wanted to get close to him because Finn was the first person that she saw when she
woke up.
Finn held the girl in front of him and looked at her carefully.
She was healthier than last time. At least, she was no longer skinny.
The girl was staring at him when Finn was looking at him.
She smiled contently.
"Do you miss me?" Finn asked.
The girl still didn't talk much. She just nodded.
"How are you doing?" Finn asked again.
But it seemed that this question overwhelmed her. She shook her head after a while.
Hearing the answer, Finn couldn't do anything.
He became silent. When he was going to comfort the girl, the woman said, "Now that you see him,
come back with me!"
She said to the girl. It seemed that she came here just for allowing the girl to see Finn. That was all.
Finn couldn't stand it. He looked at the woman and complained, "You are not relative to her. She can
do whatever she wants." Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
He knew his words would rub the woman up the wrong way, but the poor girl gave him the courage.
"How dare you talk to me like that?" The woman glared at Finn.
"You heard me. I won't let you take her away." It was probably because the woman was here alone, or
because the girl was holding his hand. Anyway, Finn said those words.
Maybe hearing the quarrel outside, Chenille came out. Usually he would meditate at this time. It was
his regular work.
He saw the woman and asked surprisingly, "Ms. Aleena, what are you doing here?"
The woman answered indifferently, "Because of him."
Chenille looked at Finn after hearing the woman's words. But he was still in confusion. He asked, "It
was because of Finn?"
