Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 89

“Why, how could you think of me like this? Have we… become so estranged from each other?”

“What have I done to make you misunderstand me like this?”

She had tears in her eyes, her eyebrows furrowed as if she had suffered a great injustice.

Seeing her like this, others couldn’t help but be biased towards her, feeling that Willette was a bit too much, suspecting her own sister without any evidence?

“Nydia, that’s not what I meant. I just think it’s too coincidental. You haven’t cooked for so long, and today you come up with such a dish. Of course, I’m not blaming you, really, I understand you.”

“…”

“Okay, it’s all in the past, let’s not bring it up again.” Willette didn’t want Nydia to look so hurt and aggrieved. She knew that if she and Nydia both looked like this, Nydia would definitely be the one that people would pity more.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“Sister, maybe it’s not important to you who made it, but it’s important to me. Now that you say that, how do you think other people will see me?”

A tear “plop” fell, repeatedly dropping into the hearts of those present, feeling as if their hearts were scalded.

“I know it has nothing to do with you, it was just my muddled brain being angry that made me say that. I’m sorry.”

But Willette’s words were easily interpreted by others as her trying to comfort Nydia, not wanting to argue with her, and not wanting to investigate further.

“Sister, do you know why I didn’t wear makeup today?” Nydia looked at her and caught a glimpse of panic in her eyes. “The police suddenly called me over this morning to ask about something. After I left there, I thought it had been a while since I’d been to the restaurant, so I came to eat. I didn’t expect… you would think of me like this.”

“I shouldn’t have come, and I won’t come again in the future,” Nydia turned around and ran out of the restaurant, and the driver followed. Willette chased after her, but found that Nydia was running a bit too fast. She thought it would be awkward to catch up and pull her back, so she decided to explain later. She believed that as long as she could coax Nydia a little, she wouldn’t be angry anymore.

She returned to the restaurant, and the people there looked at her with some strange eyes. She didn’t care and went into the kitchen to check the ingredients. She couldn’t let anyone find any handle on her in the future.

Nydia got back into the car and wiped the tears from her face with a tissue. The driver glanced at Nydia from the rearview mirror and wondered how to report what had happened today. He couldn’t judge whether Nydia and the two men were in collusion or not, so he just described the situation without making any comments.

“Did you take any pictures just now?” Nydia leaned against the backrest and asked the driver.

“Madam, I took a picture of Miss Malone and Jasper hugging each other.” He handed her his phone.

Nydia looked at it and was very satisfied. She knew they would hug each other. Jasper wouldn’t let her down. She remembered in her past life that Willette and Jasper were quite close, but at that time, she didn’t think much of it. Now she realized that they must have hooked up later. Maybe if she kept an eye on them, she could get even more explosive information.

“Send me the photo.”

“Okay, Madam.”

Just as she returned the phone to the driver, Nydia’s own phone rang. It was a call from Willette. After preparing her emotions, she answered.

“Hello.” Her voice was already choking, which startled the driver. Wasn’t she fine just now?

“Nydia, I misunderstood you. It was Jasper who caused the misunderstanding by talking nonsense. I’m sorry!”

“I know, it’s okay, sis.”

“Tomorrow, I’ll treat you and Jesse to dinner and apologize to you.”

“Why invite Jesse?”
