Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 57

“When you married into the family, you should have understood what the Pascall family rules were. It’s not too late to reconsider now,” Andrew said, ignoring the others and looking at Nydia.

Every large family has its own rules and regulations, which are rarely used in today’s society governed by law. However, in special circumstances, family rules can still be applied. Nydia knew this, but her face showed no hesitation. “I don’t regret it. Please, let’s use the family rules.”

“Dad, I don’t agree!” Jesse said.

“This is what she asked for. You have no right to disagree!” Andrew’s words were indisputable.

“I made a mistake before and I should be punished. It’s okay, I can handle it,” Nydia reassured Jesse with a smile.

But Jesse’s face darkened, and he coldly ordered, “Shut up!”

However, Nydia was not afraid. She walked up to him and held his hand, saying, “Trust me!”

He wanted to pull his hand away, but Nydia held it tightly. Although her hand was cold, he felt a strange heat coming from her.

It had been many years since the Pascall family had used their family rules. “Come with us to the Pascall Manor,” Andrew said.

“Dad, do we have to…” Sibley felt it wasn’t necessary to take it this far. She could feel that Jesse didn’t agree, and if he hit Nydia today, he wouldn’t let it go easily.

Now that Tavish was fine and it wasn’t Nydia’s fault, maybe they should just let it go.

But Andrew glanced at her, and even though he was old, the authority in his eyes was still strong enough to silence Sibley.

Jesse and Nydia followed them to the Pascall Manor, leaving the two children behind.

At first, Molly and Tavish insisted on going with them.

But Nydia half-knelt on the ground and spoke softly to the two of them, “Mommy should accept the punishment if I did something wrong. Every action requires a price, and it’s Mommy’s responsibility. You also need to remember that you’ll be punished if you make a mistake.”

“Okay, you two wait at home first. Mommy and Daddy will be back soon.”

She hugged the two children and ordered the two nannies to leave them behind.

On the way to the Pascall Manor,

Andrew, Rosalind, and Sibley were in one car.

Nydia and Jesse were in another car.

Jesse didn’t speak all the way, and neither did Nydia. She looked out the window but felt calm inside.

She had always wanted to account for what she had done wrong, and now this family rule was not punishment but redemption for her.

They arrived at the Pascall Manor.

Andrew took out a whip, which was well preserved and brushed with a special oil for preservation, making it look shiny.

The whip also had spikes on it. When it was whipped, the spikes would pierce the skin, making it much more painful than an ordinary whip.

Sibley looked at the whip with fear in her eyes and looked at Nydia. Nydia’s face, however, was more calm than afraid.

“I’m ready,” Nydia took a deep breath and knelt down.

“Bring the saltwater,” Andrew’s voice was very cold.

The whip had to be dipped in saltwater before being whipped, which was the ultimate use of family rules.

“Dad, do we really need to use saltwater?” Sibley couldn’t bear it. It was enough to whip her a few times with the whip. Why use saltwater?

“She requested family rules, so of course, we have to follow the rules!”

However, Jesse’s wheelchair made a sound as it rolled on the ground, and he had already arrived next to Nydia.

“She was married into this family by me, so I should bear the punishment.”Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

His words made Nydia widen her eyes in shock.
