Chapter 106 The Only Warınth in the Rain
When Anaya returned to the Dutt’s house, Aria and her family were eating. When they heard that Anaya had returned, they all went to the hall.
Recently, Frank had been detained and had not returned, leaving his wife Aria and two children in the house.
When the three saw Anaya, they put on even longer faces.
Aria was the first to ask, “Who let you in? You put your uncle in prison. How can you still have the face to come back?”
“This is my home. Why can’t I come?” Anaya thought it was funny.
“I’m living here, so how did it become yours?” Aria was completely unreasonable. “Albert! Throw this loathsome girl out. I don’t want to see her!”
However, no one responded.
Aria felt as if she had been slapped by an invisible hand. She was so angry that her chest heaved violently. Looking at Anaya’s smiling face, Aria only felt that the face was irritating.
“None of you listen to me, right? Good, very good! I’ll fire all of you tomorrow!” Arla shouted at the servants in the hall and then said to her son and daughter, Mark and Vivianna, throw Anaya out!”
Mark and Vivianna also hated Anaya. They were ready to make a move when they received their mother’s order.
The butler and the other servants stepped forward and protected Anaya behind them.
“Madam, this house is the home of Mr. Dutt and Ms. Anaya, not yours. You are just staying here temporarily. Please remember your identity.”
Vivianna’s voice was sharp. “What do you mean? Are you looking down on our family? You are just a servant. Why are you talking to us like this? Don’t forget who paid you!”
The butler Albert lowered his head, but his attitude was unyielding. “In the end, it is not you.”
Although this house was now reserved for Aria and her family, the expenses were all paid by Adams.
“Mom, don’t wait for tomorrow. Let’s drive out all these traitors and let them see who the real owner of this house is!” Vivianna was furious with Albert’s attitude and said.
Aria was overwhelmed by anger. She immediately nodded and agreed. She ordered Albert and the other servants. “All of you, get out of here now! From now on, you are not allowed to take even a step into this place!”
Anaya leisurely walked out from behind Albert. “Auntie Aria, the property ownership certificate of this house has my grandfather’s name written on it. The people who should leave should be you guys, right?”
Aria glared at Anaya fiercely, her eyes widened, “You want to drive us away, do you? Adams said before that he would give us this house. How can you drive us away?”
“But Grandpa hasn’t given it to you yet.” Anaya was still calin and composed.
In the past, Adams did not know the true colors of Frank’s family. He thought that no one would live in this house atter Anaya got married, so he promised to give the house to Frank
Now that everything Frank had done in the past had been exposed, how could Adams give the house to Frank?
The reason why Aria and her children were still able to live here peacefully now was only that Adams had just recovered from his serious illness and had temporarily not thought of them.
Another reason was that Anaya was busy with her work every day, so she had no time to come to the house. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org: ©.
However, since she was here today, it was not impossible for her to drive away the disgusting family.
“Mr. Warner.” Anaya looked at the butler Albert and said, “Can I trouble you to bring some people to send off my aunt and my cousins? i hope they can move out of here today. As for their belongings, they can come back in two days to collect them.”
“Alright, Ms. Anaya,” Albert replied as he nodded.
Albert and several security guards immediately surrounded Aria and her children.
Aria said exasperatedly, “How dare you? I’m the master here! If you dare to touch me, I’ll drive you all away!”
“Madain, if you don’t want to suffer, please leave with us,” Albert said coldly.
“You want to drive us out, and you want’us to leave with you obediently, right?” Aria was so angry that she laughed. She raised her hand and pushed Albert. “I won’t do as you want. You are dreaming!”
Albert was pushed back by Aria and quickly got his footing.
Aria didn’t want to leave, so Albert could only use force.
Albert gave the security guards a look, and they understood. They grabbed Aria and the other two and escorted them out.
Aria did not expect that Albert would really dare to drive her away. Along the way, Aria cursed, living like a mad
woman.
Several security guards threw the three out, and Arla’s shouts were soon isolated outside the door.
Without the interference of outsiders, Anaya walked upstairs. “Mr. Warner, there has been no one in my room. How could there be leaks?”
“This afternoon, Ms. Vivianna entered your room when we were absent. She seemed to want to try the bathroom in the master bedroom but accidentally broke the tap. When we found out, there was already a layer of water in the room.”
Anaya nodded, walked to the door of the room, pushed the door open, and entered.
The accumulated water on the wooden floor had been cleaned up, leaving dark marks.
Anaya walked to the bed and took out the small box under the bed.
There were cracks in the box, and some water seeped into it. The teddy bear was already soaked.
Anaya gently dried the teddy bear and hung it on the balcony.
Anaya spent the night in the house. When she woke up the next morning, the teddy bear was completely dried.
The teddy bear’s head and body were torn.
Anaya found the thread and carefully sewn it.
In the morning, Aria brought people to make a fuss again, but they were all blocked outside.
It was on the weekend. Anaya did not go to the company in the morning and went straight home.
“You went back just to get this thing, do you?” Aracely asked.
Anaya closed the door. “Yes.”
“Does this teddy bear have any special meaning to you?”
Anaya was stunned.
Special meaning?
It had been before.
In those days when she had been bewitched with Joshua, she regarded the teddy bear as her bliss.
Every time she saw this teddy bear, she would recall the boy who had hugged her on a gloomy rainy day ten years ago.
Then, Anaya could not lielp but like Joshua even more.
Now that she thought about it carefully, her love is all one-sided. Perhaps the one she loved was not Joshua, who was unkind to her every day, but the boy who accompanied her out on gloomy days.
What she was pursuing had always been the only warmth in the rain.
However, after so many years, she still couldn’t find that feeling.
In her last life, she even paid a painful price for it.
She pinched the cars of the teddy bear and muttered to herself, “There used to be, but now there is none.”
Aracely didn’t understand what Anaya meant, but she didn’t ask, “I’m going downstairs to buy breakfast. Do I have to take breakfast for you?”
“No, thank you. I will be going out soon.”
