Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 70

Donna furrowed her brow and began, “Your complexion-”

“Mrs. Goodwin,” came Charles‘ voice just as Donna spoke.

Donna turned.

Charles walked in with a warm smile on his face.

“Auntie, we have a caregiver here tonight. I’ll take you back to the hotel, and then I’ll stay at the hospital.”

“Huh? You’ll stay?” Donna was surprised.

“Yes. You’ve been working hard these past few days. With me and the caregiver here, you and Mr.

Goodwin can rest easy.

“How… How can that be…”

Donna subconsciously looked at Naomi. Surprisingly, Naomi did not refuse.

Donna’s senses tingled with slight suspicion when Charles added, “I just talked to Naomi. After all, you’re both getting older, and she doesn’t want you to worry, so I’ll stay at the hospital. Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of her.”

Understanding this, Donna did not feel uneasy anymore. After thinking for a moment, she looked at her daughter’s calm face, nodding. “Well, if the two of us fall ill, it would be even harder for this child.

“Charles, thank you for taking care of Naomi.

“Not at all. It’s what I should do.”

“You’re just too kind. I trust you, so there’s no need to say more. Naomi, I’ll be going back to the hotel. Charles, you don’t have to send me off.”

Donna did not say much and left with her bag. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Charles said to Naomi, “Rest well. I’ll come after I escort Mrs. Goodwin back to the hotel.”

Naomi nodded, her gaze filled with gratitude.

He knew everything she wanted to say and what she wanted to do. He took care of every detail for her.

Naomi thought she could give Charles a chance.

She withdrew her gaze and looked at the night outside. The figure of the man with deep eyes appeared

in her mind.

Naomi’s heart fluttered. No more meetings, no more connections. Everything would end come morning light.

The following morning, Olivia received a call from her father, informing her that Scott had agreed to collaborate with the Carvers. The contract was already signed, too.

At that moment, her heart leaped with warmth. Logically, he would not respond so quickly–she understood him well. In matters of business, he always conducted himself professionally. Yet, in just a day, he agreed. Was it because of last night’s incident? A compensation to her? Besides this reason, she could not find any other explanation. She was delighted, overjoyed.

“Olivia, are you and Scott together?” her father’s voice came through the phone.

Olivia tightened her grip on the phone with a gleam in her eyes. “I’ll be with him.”

Upon hearing this, her father fell silent. After a moment, he spoke, “I’ve watched Scott grow up. He’s good in all aspects, but three years ago, he married someone else, not you. I’m not very pleased with him.”

Olivia frowned and said, “Dad, that’s not his concern. You don’t need to worry. Anyway, you only need to know one thing–I’ll only marry him.”

The voice on the phone fell silent again, and Olivia said, “That’s all.”

She hung up the phone, her expression darkening. She did not want to dwell on what happened three years ago. Three years had passed, and she would not give any other woman a chance.

“Weird. I saw Jasper when I went to see that woman just now.” The door to the hospital room opened, and Sasha’s voice reached her ears.

Olivia’s expression changed abruptly. “What did you say?”
