“Sack me.”She barks, completing his sentence for him.”I don’t care. Do your worst. I’m tired of working your butt off for someone like you.”

He stares down at her, the corners of his mouth curls upwards. He really likes when Eve is mad. He doesn’t mind if his attitude towards his sassy secretary can be called “psychotic”. He just loves making her mad. It always gives him this inner happiness.

Eve lifts her eyebrows, noticing the annoying smile on his face.”What the heck Is this funny? Is this funny? Sack me, Mr Jayden.”

He smirks.”I told you the other day. Talk to my father about leaving your job. He is the one who hired you, not me.”

She shook her head in disbelief. She has reached the highest level of her anger. She wants to punch him on his face or slap his devilishly handsome face but she controls her anger. No matter what, he is still her boss and she shouldn’t act in that manner.

Jayden clears his throat, jolting her from her thoughts.”You can leave now. I’ll send the address to your email. Remember to act nice to the person, don’t be rude to the person you’re meeting.”

She let out a hiss.”I’m not a rude person.”

He chuckles softly.”You are always rude to me.”

The sound of his chuckle gives her a tingling feeling. She hasn’t heard him chuckle before. It’s strange that she likes how he sounds.

But, that doesn’t change the fact that he is still a psychopath.

“Are you done?”Eve questions him, clenching her tiny fists.

“Don’t forget about the business dinner date we have tomorrow. Dress nice and attractive.”He rambles.

“You don’t need to tell me what to do.”She hisses.

He shot me a wink.”Don’t worry. I’ll get you a nice gown for the dinner date. Say ‘thanks in advance, sir’.”

She shrugs.”I don’t need your help in getting me a gown. Bye.”

With these words, she walks out of his luxurious office.

Jayden stares intensely at her secretary as she walks out.

His mouth curves into a smile.”She has a beautiful shape.”He says in his mind.

Since the day he saw her in the office after the traffic jam incident, he sensed that she is different from all the ladies he had met.

Evelyn is different from the other ladies working in the company. She doesn’t worship him like a god. She always talks back to him, if he does something unfair to her.

She is just so different. From her beautiful appearance to her savage attitude.

Jayden opens his personal computer and goes to the company blog. He wants to find out information about Evelyn. There is something about her, something intriguing about her that he wants to know. It won’t hurt to stalk her for a few minutes, anyway.

He gazes at the computer with keen interest, as he sees information about her.

Evelyn Jones. She is twenty years old.

His mouth falls open when he discovers that she is from a rich background. Her background isn’t as wealthy as his own, but they’re still rich. No wonder, she doesn’t give a damn about him or leaving her job.

The sound of her phone jolts Evelyn from her dreamland. She opens her eyes, glancing around her room.

“Damn!”She mutters slowly.

She hates that she woke up. She was having a dream about being in a beautiful land, the most amazing part about the dream is that her parents are with her in the land. They were living a normal life in the dream, she wishes that the dream will come to pass. She is so tired of being lonely in the big mansion. She also wants to have a mother who is going to nag at her about her bad habits. But sadly, she doesn’t have someone to correct her or advise her.

Adding to her problem of not having a supporting parents, she now has an egoistic boss. It seems like Jayden Turner was sent after her life. Is this how it feels to have a wicked boss? Jayden wants to end her life with many work loads.

The meeting she went to on his behalf wasn’t so bad, apart from the bald man trying to flirt with him. She turned him down when he started to flirt with her. Apart from that, their meeting went well.

Her phone begins to ring again. She picks the bedside table and checks the caller. Her mouth tugs upwards, the caller is her boyfriend.

“Hey baby.”Her boyfriend Raymond’s voice rings in her ears.

“Raymond.”She mutters gently.”I miss you.”

“I miss you too, sweetheart. Are you okay?”He asks her.

She nods her head in the affirmative, as if he can see her.”I’m okay. I just want to see you. Everywhere is boring without you. I really need you closer to me.”

“I know, baby. I’ll be back next week.”

Her brows furrow. He said the same thing last week but he didn’t fulfill his promise.

“Are you sure?”She queries him.

“I promise.”He assures his girlfriend.

“Promise is a debt, Raymond.”

“Trust me, baby. I’m coming next week to see you. I’m almost through with the business deal.”He pauses.

Silence reigns in the air for a few minutes. Evelyn is already thinking that he hung up the call when he talks again.

“I have to do something now. Bye Evelyn.”He says hurriedly and cuts the call connection, before she can say “tat”.

Evenly shrugs, wondering why her boyfriend changed his tone all of a sudden.

She strips her nightgown. She is about to walk into her bathroom when she hears a knock on her door.

“Good morning, Nanny Cleo. What do you want?”She asks.

“Someone is asking for you, Evelyn.”Nanny Cleo announces.

“Is it Marina?”

“It’s a man.”

“Tell the person to wait. I’m coming.”

“Okay, Eve.”

Evelyn wonders who was asking for her. Still tying her towel around her body, she walks to the living room.

Her jaw drops when her eyes meet with those annoying forest green eyes.

“What are you doing here?”She blurts out.

He raised his eyebrows, his eyes boring into her big brown eyes.”Can’t you greet me?”
