President Williams Woos His Ex-wife Again

Chapter 44 Crying is Useless

Chapter 44 Crying is Useless

She seemed to be in a deserted world. In the face of thousands of arrows, she could not hide, but let

them ran through her body. But the next second, she heard Aaron’s threatening words, “If you dare to

touch my dog again, you’ll regret to have been born.”

Karl didn’t say a word. The veins on his forehead were bulging. His face was gloomy. Seeing the

helpless and weak Beth on the ground, he felt a dull pain in his heart.

Suddenly he found that he had some regrets in his heart. He shouldn’t have done that to her. He didn’t

want to, even though he had really been framed by her, ‘But I had just stabbed through her palm…’

Aaron turned around and walked to Beth dominantly. He bent down, carried her up and strode away.

She was very unconscious. Falling into his arms, she could smell the cold and fresh fragrance on him,

which made her burst into tears again.

Her injured hand, still with the knife thrusting through, was hanging limply in mid-air. Her warm blood

was dripping from her finger onto the floor, as if roses bloomed along the way Aaron had walked.

Beth couldn’t hold back her tears, her body slightly quivering, ‘That knife, it hurts.’ She slowly opened

her eyes. She seemed to be looking at something, or nothing.

‘Karl is ruthless. If he knew the truth, he would regret what he has done to me. He certainly would.’

She was carried into the car. Her hand hurts violently even she just moved a bit. She panted violently,

and her eyes were brimmed with tears.

Aaron’s movement was not gentle, but it was better than before, which made Beth thought he treated

her gently, ‘He finally showed some mercy when my hand’s broken? So miserable. So ridiculous. Or it

was just me who has been fettering myself?’

The assistant Samuel was stunned, “President Williams, what happened to Mrs. Williams?” Samuel

cast a gingerly look at Aaron’s cold face, “Even though you’re getting divorced, you shouldn’t break her

hand!” Samuel thought Aaron was getting more and more violent, ‘How could he do this?’

Aaron glanced at him, “Shut up. To the hospital now!” He thought for a while, and curled up his lips, “I

didn’t do this to her. She was seducing Karl Brown. Who told her to be a whore. She deserves it.”

Thinking at this, he got furious again. The unknown fury covered the pain from the depth of his heart,

though he didn’t realize it. All he knew was his own fury when seeing her lying there feebly.

He became less like himself. He attributed everything to hatred, because he thought she had betrayed

him before their divorce, ‘She deserves it. She asked for it!’

Beth’s head leaned against a cushion on the back seat. She could sense the familiar smell on him. But

his mean words kept thrusting into her heart. Like a fish getting devoid of oxygen, she opened her

mouth slightly, “I… I didn’t. I didn’t seduce him.”

She’s no whore. She’s innocent. The only one she cared for had always been the teenage boy under

the cherry tree. He, Aaron, was her dream.

Aaron’s eyes flickered, and he sneered, “Are you? Really? So Brown came to break your hand out for

no reason? Don’t pretend to be innocent!”

Aaron leaned close to her, pinching her chin gently with his long fingers. There was forbidding coldness

in his eyes, “Beth, has anyone told you, your affectation is very sickening?”

Aaron had a pair of beautiful eyes, but there was poison in his gentle voice, which made her heart

break again.

‘Affectation?’ she tried to catch the last bit of her consciousness to tell him why she had looked for Karl.

But from another view, he wouldn’t trust her at all. So she gave up explaining anything. She just kept

silent and steadying her breath.

But it annoyed Aaron even more. He thought she admitted it silently, ‘She can’t pretend anymore! She’s

really going to start a relationship with Brown!’

Aaron really wanted to throw her out of his car and ignored her, but he suppressed it, told Samuel to

speed up and even arranged a VIP channel in the hospital to get the knife out for her as quickly as

possible.

His suit was stained with blood, which made him frowned. Standing outside the operation room, he

fixed his eyes on the red light.

Samuel walked to him after talking with the doctor. He said to him politely, “President, don’t worry.” All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

Aaron scolded him coldly, “Shut up! I’m not worried about her.”

Samuel moved his lips, trying to say something, but fearing to irritate Aaron, he kept silent.

After a while, Aaron mumbled, “I’m not worried about her. I just don’t want her to die so easily.”

‘I’m waiting for her to sign the divorce papers! Yes, I only care about this! I can’t wait!’ he told himself.

The knife was successfully removed, but still her bones were badly hurt. Beth thought she was ready to

hear the worst result, but when she heard the doctor said her hand was incurable, she got scared and

cried.

Aaron was also in the ward with her. Seeing her shedding tears expressionlessly, he felt a bit sad, but

still he said to her harshly, “What are you crying for? Were it not for your filthy behavior, you wouldn’t

lose your hand. Your crying is useless now.”
