Chapter 153 Go back to the party
Chapter 153 Go back to the party
There was a frigid contempt in Matthew’s tone. Blanca felt her cheeks grow red with sudden anger. It
seemed that Matthew looked down upon her. Sure, she was poor and she never finished her high
school, but she was not a gold digger. She wanted to be equal to Matthew someday.
“Well. If you say so, Matthew! I am going back to Peter.” Blanca bit her lip tightly. Compared with
Matthew, she was poor, ignorant and powerless, but she was not inferior. She signed the deal and got
fake married, but strictly speaking, they were partners and she was independent. Actually, when
Matthew had saved her bravely several days ago, Blanca had somehow felt a crush on him. But in this
very moment, she laughed at herself just thinking about it, because Matthew always had a sense of
superiority in front of her.
“Fine. Go ahead. Do whatever you want.” Anger made Matthew say the words he didn’t mean. The
feelings made him uncomfortable. To be honest, he didn’t know why he was so upset if Blanca meant
nothing to him.
Matthew’s words made Blanca angrier. “OK! I will go back to the party!” Blanca argued. Just then a
wind sprang up. Blanca appeared to be more conscious in freezing cold wind. She gave Matthew a This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
glare and next second, she gathered up her dress and walked to the hall.
Matthew was still standing in silence, staring after her. He could hardly believe it. He had never
imagined he would say such things to Blanca.
At the moment, his driver stopped the car in front of him and saw him standing there alone. “Why did
Mrs. Grant go back, Mr. Grant? Shall we wait for her?” said the driver curiously.
“Don’t worry about her.” For Matthew, it was hard to keep his temper. So, he got in the car without any
hesitation.
“Let’s go!” Matthew commanded coldly. Then, the car sped away.
Blanca turned, and saw Matthew’s car whirl out of sight.
“You’re a jerk!” said Blanca angrily, her fists clenching. She couldn’t believe that Matthew just left her in
the cold. At this thought, she turned scarlet with suppressed rage. For a while, Blanca stood in silence
watching the hustle and bustle of the roads. Suddenly, her eyes were filled with tears. She refused
Peter’s invitation, for she didn’t want to put Matthew in an awkward position, but Matthew turned
ungrateful.
“You’d better never come back.” Blanca said angrily and fought to keep her tears back. It was not worth
being sad for his leaving, as she and Matthew were completely different people. At this thought, she
turned and strode straight into the hall. The party was wonderful and colorful, with lots of music, lots of
wine and lots of good times, but Blanca just didn’t fit in. She looked around, blinking in the bright light,
and watching the fun from a distance. After a while, she couldn’t stand the noise. So, she walked out to
get some air.
