Painful seduction

Off to find Cathy

He looked around the house as he got in as if expecting someone to welcome him home or to find something strange… probably a thief. That was like an impossible action, he hasn’t recorded anything missing since he could remember. The house was empty and filled with darkness, not even the moon light could brighten it. He entered inside and quickly searched with his hands on the walk for the light switch which he found and turned on immediately.

Darkness disappeared to reveal someone who Ryan had dreaded seeing that day , if he had paid attention to the foul smell he smelt as soon as he entered then he would have found out quickly.

” You’re here. How did you get in?” Ryan asked, he was frightened. The once bold and king of the cities was now a timid boy under the big man’s influence.

“Is that the main point, Ryan?” The man asked, turning to look at him.

He was a fearful man with overgrown beards, his eyes were so small that you could barely see his eyeballs, his lips were cracked and his cheekbones were visible and for a moment, you will think he was malnourished or poorly fed but he was the wealthiest Mafia drug lord in the city.

” I will get the money soon, Don Chase. Just give me more time.” Ryan begged as he fell on his feet. Something he had never thought of doing, kneeling before a man but he had no option. The man in front of him , could command his death if he dares to misbehave.

” More time you say?” He thundered at him in anger. Ryan became timid Immediately as his face fell to the ground again.

” How many times would you have to tell me the same story?” He asked, more calmly in a quiver.

” I promise it’s the last time you will hear of it. I will find my sister soon, everything is in place.” He begged.

” How can I trust that she would give you everything?”

” I have papers, Don Chase. The same way Cindy believed , is the same way Cathy and the Court are going to believe me.” He answered with assurance.

” Cathy and Cindy might be twins but are not the same.”

” Give me just a little time and I will pay up after that you can do whatever pleases you to me.”

” Considering how well you do your job, I will give you just two weeks. Get my money in two weeks nothing more ” He said and took a step forward to leave, Ryan was more grateful as he almost kissed the floor due to excitement.

That night when Ryan found out about Cindy’s existence, he had gone to the club where she normally parties. He had tried to steal Rhea’s purse and had gotten a good beating from her that day. Cindy had only helped him because he mentioned some details about their father, Mr. Chester.

Cindy didn’t want to believe a thing he said but thankfully he opted for a DNA test which was proven positive. He had also acquired some of the properties his late father had gifted his mother before she died.

Chase had lended money to Ryan after his mother’s death when the house was to be claimed by the court by an allegation made by Mr. Anderson. The money offered to redeem the house was huge and he knew there was no way to get such an amount. He had no idea where to get such a huge amount and the bank wouldn’t give it to him. He had decided to meet Chase who agreed to give him the money and pay back in the next 2 months. He had chosen to pay back at that time when he would be given the share of the properties which belonged to him for being the only son of Mr. Chester.

Things didn’t work out as planned as it was difficult to find Cindy and even after finding her, she had no idea of any property left for her or how to find her twin sister , Cathy.

He entered the kitchen and his thoughts ran through what he had to do, he had even quarreled with Cindy with her non compliance to find Cathy. She was so naive and not worried about anything that happened, she didn’t even have a single idea her father was wealthy. One night, he had a fight with her which ended with an exchange of words and the end of whatever relationship they shared. Cindy had called his mother the other woman, a prostitute who threw herself at Mr. Chester. He was so angry that he almost slapped her but he would never dare to lay his hands on a woman. He can’t forgive her, even after Rhea came to plead on Cindy’s behalf. He didn’t want to listen.

What stupidity he possessed, he thought.

He cleaned the sweat off his forehead in anguish and thought of what to do next. He would have prepared dinner but he was not in the mood, the fatigue he had felt disappeared in a flash. All he wanted was to see Cathy, she had to give him the money or else, he didn’t want to think about the repercussions. He thought in a glance, he had no plans of Cathy doesn’t believe anything he has to say.

What if he is thrown in jail by Mr. Anderson or Cathy?

He had no thoughts about that, all he wanted was to find Cathy and convince her to give him some part of the wealth.

He raced to his room, brought out an old suitcase. He had kept all the documents and everything he needed inside. He fetched them all out and selected a few which were very vital to him, the next were his mother’s jewelry. He planned to sell them after he was done with his business with Cathy. After all sorting was done, he brought out his traveling suitcase. He was off to find Cathy Chester.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
