Chapter 38
Our week of freedom was short-lived. Soon all I felt like I was doing was answering questions about my upcoming Luna ceremony. Diane and Mrs. Brown were planning everything. Cora and Eric were to return for the event. Millie was also officially joining the Violet Moon pack that night. It was going to be a large event. Not only our pack and some Royals, but all the surrounding packs would be in attendance. This included Alex and Amanda. It would be nice to see my cousin. There were other Alphas and their Lunas as well, traveling and staying in pack territory. With so many people coming and going, I was nervous of a rogue attack. We knew that my father was growing his army again and the few that left the Dark Moon pack and didn't join another pack had gone to him. He was not going to stop anytime soon, and I just waited for the moment he would strike.
The Luna ceremony was to be Friday evening. We would first officially accept Millie into the pack as our ward. She would be treated as our child, which everyone agreed. Millie had no idea that would take place. After which I will be introduced and take my vows. I was a bit nervous I would fail as a Luna, but Diane continued to support me. Val, on the other hand, I think I was not Luna material as I hated shopping and allowed her to pick out all our dresses. Thinking back, this may not have been the best idea, but Millie had gone with her. The two girls were getting along famously. They also shared some classes in school.
Val was 16 and had a passion for life. She wanted to tour the packs when she was 18 to find her mate. I think she helped Millie open up a bit and enjoy her newfound freedom. It was Wednesday and the first of the visitors were arriving.
The girls were still in school when the group from Crimson Moon arrived. They were older leaders. The Luna was very nice and offered her assistance in any way. They had brought their son, who would take over as Alpha next year as he was 17, and a team of six warriors. We had told them all of the impending rogue attack and they responded in kind with warriors for the event.
Next to arrive were Shinning Star and New moon packs. The final group of the day was to be Dark Moon. I was happy and anxious about their arrival. That would be it for the night and only a dinner was planned.
Tomorrow another 12 packs will arrive. Saturday morning would be the royals and the event. Everyone had shown their interest in leaving on Sunday. This would be a short visit for everyone, which was great, so I could get back to normal or what normal should be like.
It was an hour before dinner and Dark Moon had just entered the back lines. I had been getting ready for our dinner but luckily was dressed in a nice sun dress and had my make up and hair done.
Millie was working on Katie's hair before she did her own. It would be here first dinner sitting with the upper pack members but I had no worries. She would be seated between me and Valerie. They worse thing would be if the two girls gossiped too much. Vincent had come to ask if I was ready. He had been getting some work done as every night turned into a marathon of pleasure.
I stood up from where I had been sitting. Kissed him passionately and said "I hope this goes well."
"It will. If they start anything they will just be asked to leave." He teasingly kissed me on the nose.
With that he escorted me down the stairs. Alex came through the door first followed by Amanda. James had been selected his new Beta. It was a good fit.
"Cousin," Alex said as he cross the way for a hug. I hadn't realized I wash holding my breath but I let out a long exhale.
"Welcome to Violet Moon," Vincent said. "Our team will show you all to your rooms and back down for dinner. Dinner is casual tonight and tomorrow and a full agenda can be found in each of your rooms."
"Thank you for your hospitality," my aunt said from behind a silent Amanda. "Fillian you look amazing."
"Thank you,"I said. "Each room has an assigned assistant. You will find thier number on your agendas. I am glad you can come and will see you in a bit. I must check on dinner."
"Still acting like and Omega," Amanda said under her breath. James laughed a bit. This earned and growl from both Vincent and Alex.
"I apologize for my Luna." Alex was quick to say. "She will behave or James will escort her home. I promise."
"No need," I said earning a look from Vincent. "Old habits die hard. Amanda I am glad you could make it. If you or my cousin need anything you can call me directly. As soon to be Luna of this pack, it is my responsibility to ensure the happiness of my guests and may pack."
With that I turned to my grinning Alpha and took his arm to head to the kitchens to make sure everything was being handled.

Vincent leaned over before we entered the bustling kitchen and said, "that's my Luna." I smiled into him and swung open the door to the kitchens.
It was no surprise that Diane was there as well. She looked up and came over. "Everything is ready. Can you check on the seating arrangements. I made a last minute change and I need a moment with my son."
I happily obliged. I noticed Dark Moon pack had been moved farther from the head table but strategically by another ally pack. I smiled she either overheard or anticipated the issues. I still have so much to learn.
Dinner passed with very little drama. The girls all talked about the soon to be Alpha of Crimson Moon. He was a beautiful blonde hair, blue eyed boy. Val I think was already planning their wedding by the end of the night. Everyone enjoyed the food and drink. After dinner I put Katie to sleep and excused myself as well. I didn't feel very well and wanted to be refreshed for the next day of pack arrivals.
Maybe it was nerves or something I ate but the moment I got to my room a wave of nausea hit me. I headed to the bathroom and empty my stomach. I started myself a long bubble bath to relax.
Shortly after I stepped in Vincent came in.
"Yes. The nerves must have gotten to me. I feel better now." I said as he stripped and sat behind me washing my back and hair. His touch calmed me and may stomach settled.
After the bath he lifted me, dried me off and settled me into bed. "Your absence was missed by me but everyone had a good time. There is nothing to worry about. I love you!"
"I love you too." I said.
I drifted off into a deep sleep. The next day was much of the same. Alex kept Amanda in check and my stomachache did not return till after dinner. Sasha was being silent maybe she was anxious too about tomorrow and our Luna ceremony.
