Chapter 12- Alpheus
Who would have thought she was in the mage dimension? Of course it was the work of lovely queen Hera. It excited me to think how the mad queen would suffer when I overtook her. Because I now had what she needed to fuel her war! I’d work faster than she ever could.
After I left Artemis and Stella I went straight to my castle in Hemingway. Very soon the dusty forsaken castle would be the most feared fortress in the mage world and Olympiad. I burst into the throne room I claimed months ago. It was also the military room.
‘Your highness, Hera’s soldiers have been defeated in the Fae Kingdom. The dark Fae are still putting up a wall.’ Turner my general said.
‘Bring them down they’re either with us or against us. They had their chance.’
I reclined in my throne. I wanted my seat to be greater than my mother’s. She’d pay the most for everything. For my fall, for her sins as well as mine!
‘Turner, have you heard word of Hera capturing another god?’ Hera surely had Artemis’ sister.
I hated to admit if the queen had another god it would hurt my plans. Knowing Archer the girl was only a demi-god, not as powerful as Artemis, but still a boost to her power.
Turner shook his head, ‘Other than the fool Archer I haven’t heard of Hera killing another god. It’s worth looking into though.’
Thunder rumbled and I glanced at the stained glass window to my right. I could barely see the storm beyond it. It was a depiction of the dark angels and Dinemus angels at war. In the dark angels version they win, while I sit in the throne we will. The storm outside was a sign of Hera’s success. Goddess Sophia can’t keep the sun shining long enough. Zeus’ rage brings the electric storms. Soon harvests will fall, forests and animals will die. I don’t know about Hera, but I have a plan to prevent all that.
‘You’re a smart man Turner.’ I pulled off my glasses and hurled them across the room.
‘We must breach Paradis before I can execute my plan.’ A grin spread on my face. Not even the Olympiad gods would defy me then.
I had to keep Artemis at bay. No more going around bursting buildings. It was better if Hera didn’t know she existed. Thanks to that useless god Archer she probably already did. She didn’t need to know she was in the mage dimension. If Artemis knew the extent of her power and the gravitas of her true identity then she would be harder to control. Harder not impossible that was the bright side of a blood promise.
I hopped off the throne and paced to the military table. Thanks to the horrible weather moving in on territories became much slower. I had strategies in places, troops moving in at the very moment. Artemis was in contact with a Dinemus angel, if who I suspected it is was true then shit just got a little more complicated. There’s nothing he can do about it. Destiny is on my side.
I had to keep her away from that elf and anyone who dared to talk. I had to silence them all.
‘The elf hiding at the hangman bar. Kill him and all his allies.’
Turner bowed. ‘There’s been some news you’d be interested in.’
‘Out with it.’
‘The Olympiad portal was active. It opened in the human dimension. We had him followed, he’s here.’
I ran a hand through my hair then a light bulb went on. ‘An Olympiad god. Bring him to me.’Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
