“She’s probably happier that she gets to take your place,” Lisa was still angry. “Less than a month after you were sentenced, Zeke Shaw and her already started dating. There’s no way they would get together that quickly if she didn’t already have her eyes on him in the first place.”
“This also shows that the love between Zeke Shaw and I wasn’t actually that strong. I’m glad I get to see the person he really is,” Serenity said with a smile.
“True that. A man like Zeke Shaw doesn’t deserve your love,” said Lisa. She suddenly thought of something. “By the way, how are you getting along with that new brother of yours? Do you really plan to live with him forever?”
“Mm–hmm,” she nodded. “If Jack is willing to stay with me, then yeah, I’d like that.”
