“Who are you calling your brother–in–law?” A voice abruptly sounded. A voluptuous woman in a brown coat and fashionable clothes walked over. When she saw Aria, she scoffed, “My, my, look who it is. It’s the murderer’s sister.”
Aria’s face instantly stiffened. She recognized the woman. It was Jenny Hall, Zeke Shaw’s current fiancée.
Jenny stepped forward and stared at Aria in contempt. “I remember you. You’re a small–time actress, aren’t you? Did you come to beg Zeke to give you a leading role? Is that why you keep calling him your brother–in–law? You seriously have no
shame.”
Aria felt humiliated. There were other people in the corridor, and they were staring at them as if they’re watching a show.
Aria could only curse Serenity silently. If Serenity had not murdered someone, Aria would have become a popular star by now.. She would not have to go through all this.
Aria had completely forgotten that the reason she was able to get some good roles in the past was all thanks to Serenity.
“You’re still not gonna leave?” Jenny remarked unhappily.
Aria could only smile while looking at Zeke pitifully. If she were to leave now, she would have come here for nothing.
“You should go. Your sister and I have nothing to do with each other anymore,” said Zeke.
“But…” Aria still wanted to say something.
Jenny snorted coldly and told Aria, “If you don’t leave, I’ll have the security guards throw you out!”
Aria bit her lip and had no choice but to leave. She would find another opportunity to talk to Zeke.
Jenny turned to Zeke and said, “Don’t tell me you still have feelings for Serenity Lewis? Aria Lewis kept calling you brother–in -law but you didn’t try to stop her at all. What if Jackson Valor hears about this? Don’t forget, my sister almost married him.”
These words were like a warning.
Zeke’s eyes dimmed. How could he have forgotten?! The name “Jackson Valor” was like a sharp sword hanging over the Shaw family’s neck. For the past three years, the Shaw family never had a day of peace because of it.
And the cause of everything was Serenity Lewis! Even the meeting with Jackson Valor a few days ago, which took him a lot of effort to arrange, turned into a mess because of Serenity Lewis.
“Serenity Lewis got off easy with only a three–year sentence. Oh, my poor sister. How could you let Aria Lewis call you brother -in–law? Am I dead to you, Zeke Shaw?” Jenny said angrily.
“Enough. I get it. I’ll ignore Aria Lewis from now on. She just wants to use me to climb higher. I already told her I have nothing to do with Serenity Lewis anymore!” Zeke hugged Jenny and said, “As you saw that day, when Serenity Lewis got humiliated by William Sanders, I didn’t even stand up for her.”
That made Jenny feel better. She went back to the private dining room with Zeke.
All the people in the private room were their friends. They were holding a pre–engagement party today.
Someone mentioned Zeke’s 3D projection ads.
Lots of them remarked on how romantic it was. Jenny’s best friend, Kristin Fender, said, “By the way, isn’t the Yale Tower right across from this hotel? I remember there’s a 3D projection advertisement there too. We should be able to see it from here. Why don’t we go take a look?”
Kristin said while pulling open the curtains.

However, after the curtains were drawn open, they did not see any 3D projection advertisement. There were just ordinary lights on the opposite building.
“What’s going on? Is the projector broken?” Kristin was perplexed.
