His long eyebrows, were distinct, and his striking eyes were looking down, focused on the documents in his hands.
Around his beautiful neck was his shirt collar and a navy blue tie. His long fingers were wrapped around a black fountain pen, and as he held the pen and signed his name on the documents, his movements gave off a distinctly elegant vibe.
It remained quiet in the office for a long while until at last, his voice broke the silence.
“Did you come here just to stare at me, Sis?”
Serenity froze. She never thought that he would still call her “Sis‘ after all this time. Still, this nickname was nothing more than a mockery and a cruel joke to her as it reminded her of how naive and stupid she had been. Back then, not only did she bring him back to her place, but she had even treated him like a little brother.
“I’ve got something to ask of you,” she said, licking her dry lips.
“Okay,” He responded, but his eyes were still fixed on the documents, “Tell me, then.”
She hesitated for a while before saying, “Well, the thing is, I want my relatives to be released. They’ve been locked up long enough. I’m sure they’ve learned their lessons. I’m going to the police station to withdraw the case, but the case has always been handled by the prosecutor and your lawyers, so… I’d like you to inform your lawyers about it.”
