No Chance of Remarriage: Get Lost

Chapter 2061 Tears

Chapter 2061 Tears

Desperately, Elisa wished that Rachel could offer her some advice, if possible.

For the longest time, the two of them had supported each other through everything. Suddenly, Rachel was gone, and it felt strange to Elisa.

Elisa sat alone for a long time once again.

Only after everything in the ward was ready did Gareth come over.

Everything was set up perfectly before the people present realized that the main character was missing.

They searched every corner of the ward, but there was no sign of Elisa.

Her phone was left on the bedside table, so she was unreachable by any calls.

Just when everyone was running around in circles with anxiety, Gareth thought of a place. He was almost certain that Elisa must be there.

Sure enough, she was where he thought she would be.

Gareth knew that Elisa was feeling upset, so he didn’t say anything to disturb her. He just stood quietly by her side, watching. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

He also ignored all calls he was receiving on his phone.

It wasn’t until Elisa noticed someone out of the corner of her eye that she reined in her melancholy. She forced a smile at Gareth and asked, “Are you ready? If there’s no problem, let’s go.”

Gareth remained still. Elisa took a few steps forward and noticed that Gareth wasn’t following her. She turned around, staring at Gareth with a hint of confusion.

She asked him silently, “Why don’t you leave?”

Gareth looked at Elisa, enunciating with utmost seriousness, “There’s no need for you to pretend in front of me. If you’re sad, then be sad. There’s no need to feign nonchalance.”

His one sentence immediately touched the deepest part of Elisa’s heart.

In a moment of inexplicable impulse, Elisa embraced Gareth, burying her head in his chest. Silently, she shed tears, wordlessly expressing the emotions that had been building up in her heart for a while.

While she seemed emotionally fine and was determined to take revenge on Kaylee, she would quietly shed tears during the night.

She would silently blame herself, wondering why the person lying motionless on the bed wasn’t her.

If only it were me. She would think to herself. If only I had been a bit more careful. If only… but alas, there are no ifs.

Gareth’s hand hovered in mid-air for a while before he finally, somewhat stiffly, patted Elisa’s back. “I’m here.”

Listening to Gareth’s voice, Elisa probably cried even harder. Gareth could feel his chest. getting wet from her tears.

Despite his mysophobia, he didn’t mind at all. On the contrary, he accepted the situation. willingly.

He was glad she was crying because it meant she wasn’t suppressing her emotions.

However, the fact that Elisa cried without making a sound was what broke his heart the most.

Elisa rarely cried, and she never did so due to feeling wronged. In her mind, crying wouldn’t solve any problems.

However, she didn’t shy away from crying either. It was a form of emotional release for her.

Her fear of the future, her guilt towards Rachel, her hatred for Kaylee, her heartache for Julia, and her uncertainty towards Gareth all came together. They all swirled together in her heart.

She felt better after crying her heart out.

Roughly five minutes later, Elisa regained her composure and created some distance between them.

Compared to before, her eyes were a bit swollen, red like a little rabbit.

It also softened the sharpness of her features, reducing the overwhelming, intimidating effect she could have on people.

“Thank you,” Elisa said succinctly.

Gareth didn’t want her to feel too embarrassed, so he consciously avoided bringing up matter.

The two of them were in such harmony that it was as if nothing had happened at all.
