Chapter 40: Family Day
“Actually, I don’t mind if you have a kid.”

The three of them were all very gorgeous and one of them had a very powerful background, so after they had entered the school, there were lots of people staring at them with admiration However, no one dared to talk to the three newcomers since everyone had heard that Lin Xiao’s parents had to transfer Lin Xiao to anther school because they had offended Gu Zijin.
The parents of all the other students were in the middle class. Under no circumstances would they dare to provoke a legendary man like Gu Zijin.
As they arrived at Xiaobai’s classroom, they saw the teacher already organizing activities on the podium. There were two chairs placed beside each student’s seat. As Gu Zijin sat down on his seat, the atmosphere in the classroom was completely changed. The teacher couldn’t help but stammer while the other parents didn’t dare to chat cheerfully.
Qin Xiaobai pulled Gu Zijin’s clothes, saying,
“Daddy, can you smile a bit?”

Gu Zijin got a bit curious and glanced at Qin Xiaobai, saying,
“You used to be in the last place all the time?”
“Yeah, Dabai runs really slowly. So I was always the last one.”
Qin Xiaobai pulled Gu Zijin’s clothes on tiptoe and then whispered,
“This is a private conversation between the two of us. Don’t tell Dabai, I don’t want her to get hurt.”
Qin Muxuan, mouth twitched, wondered if she should tell Qin Xiaobai that she had already heard all of his words. She never realized that she had been disdained by Qin Xiaobai all the time. That new discovery almost made her vomit blood.
The first activity was the three-legged race. Qin Xiaobai stood in the middle while Gu Zijin and Qin Muxuan stood by both sides of him with each of their feet tied to Qin Xiaobai’s. The teacher stood by a red line and held the whistle in her hands, saying,
“The prize for the three-legged race is a box of milk. Start!”
As the whistle sounded, Qin Xiaobai walked ahead at full stretch. Gu Zijin walked at a steady pace beside him while Qin Muxuan got a bit hurry-scurry trying to catch up with them. As they were halfway to the destination, Qin Muxuan got a bit dizzy watching their steps. Then with her legs getting limp, she lost her balance and fell down right away. Qin Xiaobai shouted,
“Dabai!”
Gu Zijin reacted very fast and turned around right away. However, due to the strings that tied his feet, he fell on the ground too and became Qin Muxuan’s human pad. As she fell onto his body, she heard him groaning slightly. With Qin Muxuan’s face turning pale, she stood up right away and said,
“Are you all right?”
Gu Zijin climbed up and said briefly,
“Let’s go.”
Due to this incident, Qin Muxuan gathered all her energy because she wanted to finish the race as soon as possible. She assumed that Gu Zijin must have hurt his back after he had fallen onto the ground and she had fallen onto him. “Get ready, we are going to run now.”
Qin Xiaobai’s heart beat very fast due to his excitement. Even hearing the words ‘going to run’ made him feel so excited!
“Three, two, one, run!”
After the family which had been ahead of them saw the Gu’s family running all of a sudden, they couldn’t help but open their mouths widely. After a long while, the little boy came back to earth and said,
“Daddy, can I say, damn it?”
The teacher also got quite jumpy. Seeing that Qin Xiaobai’s family already arrived at the destination, she blew the whistle and declared that Qin Xiaobai’s family got the first place. Then she announced the second place, then the third place.
After the string was untied, Qin Xiaobai hugged Gu Zijin immediately while shouting,
“Daddy, you are awesome!”
Qin Muxuan was still worried about the wound on Gu Zijin’s back. Then she said with her eyebrows knitted,
“Let’s go to the medical room.”
Gu Zijin shook his head, saying,
“I’m fine. Just a bit hurt. We can deal with it when we go back home.”
