Nine Months Too Late 33

Chapter 33

Are you mane? What do you mean, move in with you? I'm not moving in with anybody?

Sali yes, you are. Because, I'm not gonna sit back and watch you sleep with another man while carrying my "Westley and I do not sleep together!"

child

Okay, but how long do you think it'd take before that happens? You keep hanging out with him, having lunch, dinner and all, le inched closer. "You don't do that when you're pregnant with my child."

stop acting like you've ever cared!" She shoved him back. "These babies mean nothing to you. We know it!"

Then, you know nothing!" He snapped, gripping her hands. His eyes glared daggers. "I may be a dickhead, Sylvie, but don't ever underestimate how responsible I can be."

With a forcelul pull, she fred her hands. "So, what? You expect me to move in to your family's house? Where there are all sort of witches and demons?"

"Sylvie Price, I have nineteen houses all over the country, and much more in other countries. Make a choose and you'll be wherever you want to be." "Whatever, I don't care. I don't want to have these babies with you, Kage. I just want to be left alone."

She tried walking away, but he held her hand, pulling her back. His eyes are hard as he spoke. "Don't tempt me, Sylvie. This could get messy."

The nerves of him to threaten her.

"Well, fuck you!" She pushed him. "How can I be so sure you didn't force yourself on me just so you could get pregnant and stay back in this marriage? Just in case you've forgotten, those were your words to me, on the day you found out I wss carrying your first child. I don't ever want you to look at my kids and think they were made out of a ploy, which is why I'm taking them as far away from you as possible."

"So, what do you want me to say? Do you expect me to go on my knees and beg? To kiss your feet?"

Sylvie's hands itched to slap him. She's never seen someone more full of himself. Why did she have to get married to someone like him?

Someone knocked on the door. Whoever it was could save her from Kage at the moment.

She rushed to open it and became even more worried when she found Westley. Not the kind of saviour she'd been expecting.

He stood there with some grocery bags, surprise flickering in his eyes upon seeing Kage. But from the look of things, he could tell they hadn't been having a blissful conversation.

"Am I... interrupting something?" He asked, already stepping into the house.

Sylvie shook her head, dabbing her face some more.

Kage was trying so hard to contain his anger. It wasn't working. He lunged at Westley, gripping him roughly by the collars of his

shirt. Holding him, he couldn't really tell why he was so furious at him. Was it because he'd attacked the trucks carrying the building materials, or because he had been close to Sylvie the whole time when she'd been pregnant with his kids? "What're you doing here?" He gritted. The thought of him paying Sylvie regular visits tortured him. Damn it, he needed to get her away from there.

"Kage!" Sylvie intervened, putting a hand on his. "Let him go,"

But Kage wasn't listening, and Westley only had a smirk on his face.

"You shouldn't be anywhere near her, you do not deserve it." He added, earning a laugh from Westley.

And you think you d

you do? You rejected her when she was all yours, dude. You have no right to act controlling."

"I said stop it. Please!" Sylvie shoved his hand but he wouldn't budge.

She couldn't get him to let go of Westley until he did so himself.

He played hard at Sylvie, then at Westley

This isn't over," he told her before walking out the door.

Sylvie released a shaky breath, almost falling to the couch. Westley reached out to hold her.

"Hey, you alright? What happened?" he asked gently.

He knows about the pregnancy, I messed up, and he found out, she answered shakily

It took Westley sometime to be able to get Sylvie to calm down. He made her some tea and put a blanket around her to keep her wam

"I think this will be the perfect time to consider my proposal," he said, seated next to her where she held her cup of tea. She'd explained everything to him. It was upsetting that Kage already found out about it before

she accepted his proposal. "You're a single woman, Sylvie. You should know Kage doesn't have any right to control your life. You could chose to get married right now, and nobody would say a word. You should get married." He held her hand. I'm ready to take full responsibility. It's not news that Kage is an asshole. So, give me the chance to treat

the way you've always yearned to be treated. If you accept my proposal, we could get married in a week."

Sylvie closed her eyes, shaking her head. The idea was messing with her head.

God, Westley was a nice guy. He wasn't someone she'd turn down on a normal day, but could she really let him father Kage's babies? Was it the best idea?

"I think I need to be alone for now," she mumbled, withdrawing her hand from his. "I'm tired. I just need to get some sleep."

Westley nodded and glanced at the time. "It's pretty late. Why isn't Stephanie home?"

"Im sure she'll be home soon. Don't worry."

He bobbed and stood up. "Ill check on you tomorrow. Goodnight, Sylvie."

"Goodnight," she managed a smile..

Kage was restless at home. The thought of Westley being with Sylvie triggered him. He kept thinking of ways he could get Sylvie to leave him. It bothered him so much, he couldn't focus.

It was ten pm when he grabbed his car keys and headed out of the house. Although, this time, his guards insisted on going

with him.

He needed to have another word with Sylvie. It didn't matter if she cried and yelled at him. If there was one thing Kage hated, it was losing.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

His mind reeled when he noticed some flames in the distance, coming from the direction of her house. He stepped on the gear, going on full speed.

What in God's name? Was another house getting burnt close to hers?

There was an ache in his heart, an unhealthy feeling.

It got worst as he got close and discovered it was hers that was getting burnt. No, no, no,

There was a crowd outside, with an ambulance and people from the fire department trying to put out the fire, but it was too much. The house was too consumed by it already.

As Kage rushed out of his car, he realized he couldn't breath properly anymore.
