Chapter 2491
Sera hired a professional translator for the contract signing and a lot of the procedures, which made work easier for her. Presently, Harmony was in the car. Noticing her dour mood, Sera asked, “What’s wrong? Are you tired?”
“No,” Harmony mumbled. “I haven’t seen him for a week.”
“He’s probably busy,” Sera mentioned. “I know he hasn’t shown up, but he’s arranged for your script and character. The best thing you can do for him is to portray the character well.”
“Will we meet again?” Harmony felt sad. Ezekiel felt so far away from her all of a sudden.
Back in the manor, Ezekiel walked with his mother. He came back this time because his family told him to join in an election.
“Ezekiel, I saw you walking the red carpet with a lady a while ago. Did you find a girlfriend?” Sophia looked at her son curiously.
Ezekiel shook his head. “I was just helping her, Mom. We’re not dating.”
“Is that so? Do you like her, then?” Sophia asked.
Ezekiel mused over it and answered honestly. “I do like her.”
I see. Sophia knew her son was an opinionated person since he was a child. He could do anything well, even without supervision. She had observed the ladies around Ezekiel and told him to stay away from those who only wanted him for riches and prestige. She wanted her son’s wife to marry him because of love, not money. “You call the shots for your relationship. Our family will be holding the election this time, so you might not be able to leave the house for a while.”
“I know, Mom. I’ll deal with this matter before I leave.” Ezekiel nodded. He went back to the study and picked his phone up. Even though he hadn’t been contacting Harmony, the set would send him emails every day, reporting their progress. Ezekiel scrolled until he found Harmony’s number, and he texted, ‘Is work exhausting? Are they pressuring you?’
Meanwhile, Harmony was hanging from a wire, doing a mid-air stunt herself. She had been trained in dancing for ten years and had great moves. She finished her stunts in one fell swoop. Even the director was impressed, and he gave her a thumbs up.
It had been ten days since Harmony joined the set. Since her scenes were tight, they were taken consecutively. Ever since she went into the set, she almost never came out. All the events back home were postponed or canceled. What Harmony needed to do now was not expand her popularity but accumulate enough work to stand firm in the industry. Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Shooting was hard, and she did feel a lot of pressure, but she held on. She went into the bathroom at night and checked the mark left by the wire on her back. It was so painful that she couldn’t touch any water, but she gritted her teeth and held on.
Harmony could have a half-hour break after the scene. She took the phone from Sera and plopped down on the couch. Out of habit, she checked her messages, and what she saw made her eyes go wide. She stared at her phone in disbelief. “Sera, he texted me.” She was excited.
Equally excited, Sera sat with her. “What did he say?”
“Just saying hi.” Harmony smiled sweetly.
Sera patted her. “Chat with him. I’ll get you something to eat.”
Harmony looked at the message. She wasn’t someone who would complain since that would only worry everyone. She texted, ‘I’m fine. It’s not exhausting. Where are you now?” Harmony waited for his reply quietly, but then her phone started to ring. She checked it out and immediately felt like she was holding a hot potato. He’s calling! Surprised, she heaved a sigh and took the call. “Hi, Mr. Weiss.”
