Night of Destiny

Chapter 2484

Harmony approached Ezekiel. When she passed by Catalina, she deliberately tilted her head in Catalina’s direction as she placed her hand on Ezekiel’s arm.

Ezekiel smiled when Harmony returned to his side. He stopped talking to the guest, and Harmony said, “I wanna see the scenery there.”

“Sure,” said Ezekiel.

Catalina’s plan failed, and her face contorted in rage. She glared at Harmony with hatred. / will make her suffer tonight.

They could see the whole city shrouded in the blanket of night as they stood on the balcony. Harmony took out her phone and tried to take a selfie. After all, she was a celebrity. So, it was kind of within her job description to show off her beauty to her fans. Suddenly, she was seized by a bout of desire as she asked, “Mr. Weiss, can we take a wefie?” I might not get to see him again. If that’s the case, I’ll take a picture of him to commemorate this night.

Ezekiel nodded. “Of course.”

Harmony turned on the front camera and scooted closer to Ezekiel. Ezekiel asked, “Want me to hold the phone? I’m taller.”

Harmony agreed. If she had taken the photo, her face would have looked big due to the angle. “Sure.” Harmony smiled and gave him the phone. Then, she pressed a button so the phone would take the photo after six seconds. Ezekiel held the phone up. From his angle, the photo was taken at a suitable distance.

Harmony leaned on his chest and smiled. The smile was captured on camera. Ezekiel looked at the photo and said, “Send me a copy of the photo.”

Harmony was surprised. He wants our wefie? She nodded agreeably. “Sure. I’ll give you a copy later.”

A middle-aged man came up to Ezekiel. “Can we talk, Mr. Weiss?” There was anticipation in his eyes. Harmony pushed him. “Go. I’ll stay here and wait. I need to catch a break.”

Ezekiel nodded. “Don’t run around. Wait for me.” And he left.

Harmony couldn’t help but feel as though she had eaten something sweet after hearing those words. It feels like I’m a kid who needs someone to tend to. It feels great. Warm and fuzzy. Once Ezekiel was gone, Harmony checked the photo. It was a nice one. Alas, when she took a closer look, her face went beet red. Why’d I lean on his chest? And his arm’s on the balustrade behind us. It makes it look like he’s holding me. The photo made them look like a couple. Harmony’s face went apple red as her heart started to race. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

She took a few pictures of the night scene. Catalina came bearing a glass of red wine. Harmony was the only one she knew here. She tried to say hi to the top celebrities and business owners, but they ignored her after giving her a cursory yet polite glance.

Everyone came here to know people better than them, not those who were worse off. Any no- name characters would be sidelined here. “You used to love Reuben, so what are you doing now? Having a change of heart so fast?”

Harmony tucked her phone away and looked at Catalina. “Mr. Weiss is a hundred times better than Reuben. I’m not blind. If there’s a better guy out there, why would I stay loyal to a jerk?”

“You’re already dating Mr. Weiss?” Catalina was obviously getting jealous.

Harmony smiled. “My private affairs are none of your business.”

Catalina choked on herself, utterly infuriated. She harrumphed as she said snidely, “Look in the mirror. You’re not a good match for him.”

“And that’s still not your business,” Harmony retorted, turning back.

“People who try to grasp the moon will inevitably fall hard,” said Catalina.
