She thought for a while and added, “The fact that she stayed back with Aprices and endured abuse, even worked as their servant for seven years and has not claimed her inheritance yet means she has something more important to do. Emma raised her brow, “Because the Aprices all saw her die in front of their eyes. They even tried to marry off the mistress’s daughter to you. I refused, of course. As for how I know it’s fake. It’s common sense. She probably just wanted them off her trail. Also, she sent back the man I had sent to follow her in a sac with threats.”
