Chapter 16 French Restaurant
“Mr. Sanderson, I was wrong. I shouldn‘t have looked down upon you.” The receptionist gritted her
teeth and,
all of a sudden, slapped herself hard across the
face several times. “I was blind. I didn‘t recognize you. I deserve this.” The sound of her slapping
echoed in the vast golf course.
Everyone stared at her dreadfully, not a hint of sympathy on their faces. ‘What? Can I do something like
that?‘ Trevor asked himself.
He looked confused, but he was actually more shocked.
He looked at his palm and thought, ‘Is it because of the power I have now?‘
A few moments later, the receptionist‘s face had become red and swollen. Blood started oozing from
the corner of her mouth, and yet she still did not stop.
Trevor‘s heart
sank to see her like this. He did not want to push her to the edge, so he finally de cided to stop her.
“Forget it. Let bygones be bygones. Just don‘t make the same mistake again.”
“Thank you, Mr. Sanderson. I assure you, that won‘t happen again.” The receptionist was heavily
indebted to Trevor. She did not stop apologizing to him until she was out of breath. At that moment, she
fell onto her knees and gasped f or breath.
Evie nodded slightly, satisfied with how Trevor‘s handled the issue. Well, even if he spared the
receptionist, she would punish her for him. 2
As a boss, Trevor had to learn how to establish his authority in front of his subord inates.
Now that the receptionist had been punished, the crowd dispersed and carried on with their duties.
It was now time for lunch. Evie invited Trevor to the best restaurant in the manor.
They rode a yacht to the lake island within the manor‘s property.
Along the way, Trevor saw two dolphins jump out of the water and follow them.
During this time, Evie, who was standing on the deck, introduced to Trevor the pl aces he had not seen
before.
There were sharks in the aquarium, leopards in the zoo, and penguins and polar bears in the Arctic
club.
Trevor was in awe upon hearing this.
Thirty minutes later, the two of them finally arrived at the French restaurant on t he island.
A single floor tile in this restaurant was worth over a hundred dollars, and it was undeniably exquisite.
What was more, all the chefs here were Michelin 3–star chefs.
All the ingredients used in every meal were fresh. Even the Charollais beef was
air–freighted from France. Only the best and the most tender part of the beef w as served to the
customers.
It could be said that this was the best restaurant in the Willard Villa.
People
were not allowed to go to this place without a Diamond VIP membership card. Th e membership in the
Willard Villa had four levels, namely Silver, Gold, Diamond, a nd Supreme.
The higher the membership level, the more perks the
members would receive. Only Diamond members were allowed to enjoy this Fren ch restaurant.
The most basic card, the Silver card, was not something one could underestimate. This card alone was
worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Only those who had sp ent more than five million dollars every
year could possess this. And only those who had spent tens of billions of dollars were eligible to have
the Gold and Diamond card
As for the Supreme card, only a few had
seen it. Some even suspected that the Willard Villa had only released one.
A single
meal in this restaurant cost at least ten thousand dollars. Ordinary people could not afford it.
“Trevor, when you were living poorly back then, I didn‘t treat you to anything goo d because of the
family rules. But today, I will invite you to a good lunch!”
Evie excitedly said while pulling Trevor to a chair.
Less than ten minutes after they had given their orders, the waiters began servin g their meals.
French dishes were served one after another. Every one of them was superb.
One of them was the most famous Charollais steak. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
A carrot was carved into a rose shape, and the steak was in the middle. Trevor was stunned. “Evie,
isn‘t this a little too overkill? Look, the plate is big,
but there‘s only a small piece of meat in the middle. Sorry, but this piece of meat won‘t be enough to
satisfy me.”
“It‘s okay. Just order another one.” With a smile, Evie taught her brother how to eat steak with a knife
and fork.
As soon as Trevor finished the plate, another dish was served. However, it was lik e the first one where
the plate was big, yet the food was small.
After eating more than ten orders of food, Trevor still was not satisfied. Unable t o stand it anymore, he
asked, “Evie, do they have rice? I think only a share of rice could make me satiated.”
