Chapter 13
Neil had been working for Loid for many years. Upon hearing that the medicine Loid took was given by Lily, he became quite curious about her.
Lily only glanced at him before looking away with a blank expression.
She pulled up a chair, sat opposite Loid, and crossed her legs. Looking at Loid’s body, she nodded slightly.
“You’re quite obedient.”
Shaun smirked. Lily was the first to make Loid listen.
Loid had just finished his body check–up
“Did you study medicine
“A Lole,”
“Lily said humbly.

“Can you cure me?” Loid raised an eyebrow, and his

After a long time, Loid looked away in confusion. It was the first time he couldn’t read someone’s expression Lily concealed it well.
“Yes,” Lily answered straightforwardly.
Everyone in the coom held their breath when they heard her answer.
After all, it
Shaun looked at Lily in disbelief. He had initially thought that the pill Lily gave could only suppress the poison in Loid’s body, not that she could completely cure him. After Neil couldn’t cure Loid, how could a 19–year–old girl do it?
But now, she was claiming that she could cure Loid.
Loid raised an eyebrow, and his lips curled into a smile. “Any conditions?”
“Got any beer?” Elly didn’t answer him. Instead, she leaned back in her chair lazily.
Loid glanced at Daniel. He immediately understood and fetched a few bottles of beer from the fridge.
“Help yourself, Ms. Brooks.”
Upon hearing that Lily could cure Loid, Daniel began to treat her like she was royalty.
Lily opened a bottle of beer, drank the entire thing in one go, and then placed it aside. She opened another one, but she didn’t down the beer this time and just took a sip.
“There are no conditions.”
This response surprised Loid. Shaun was even more astonished. He had thought Lily would ask for something difficult
“Why are you willing to save me? Loid watched Lily drink beer, seemingly enjoying it. He felte drinking one too but held back. His body couldn’t handle alcohol.
“Why?” Lily suddenly laughed. She leaned forward slightly with one hand resting on her leg, supporting her chin. “You can’t die without my permission.”
The atmosphere instantly became tense. Shaun subconsciously glanced at Loid. This sounded a bit off. Could it be that Lily had known Loid for a long time? Did she have a crush on him? But it didn’t seem like it. Her attitude toward Lood was rather cold. It didn’t seem like she liked him.
tily ignored everyone, stood up, walked over to Loid, and pointed to the lounge chair
“Lie down over there.”
With a smirk, Loid got up and lay on the lounge chair.
Lily first took his pulse. Suddenly, she narrowed her eyes and furrowed her brows, looking at Loid in surprise. When she checked his pulse briefly after getting out of the car, she hadn’t done it in detail.
Now that she checked carefully, she found that his heart was fine.
The surprise in her eyes did not escape Loid. He raised an eyebrow
“Is there a problem?”
Lily lowered her eyes. After a moment, she asked, “Theard you had heart surgery six months ago? Bot your heart is fine.”
Loid narrowed his eyes.
mor. Don’t take it seriously.”
Lily gave him a deep look but said nothing. She rolled up her sleeves, revealing a set of silver needles on her arm. She retrieved the needle bag, slowly took out the silver needles, and then began inserting them.
“Antitoxin shots?” Neil exclaimed as soon as
