Chapter 2 Nasty Woman
Chapter 2 Nasty Woman
“I will lodge a complaint if you don’t open the packages for me.” The lady replied directly.
“You… you’re good. Okay, you win!” Johnny was pouting as he got angry. In the end, he took out a
small knife from his bag to open the boxes for her.
“Have a look, this is fine, isn’t it? So is this. This… and this… they are all fine.” Johnny swiftly opened
the boxes and then piled them on the ground. He finally said, “Now you should be willing to sign for
them.
“Give me the pen.” The lady took a pen from Johnny and signed the invoice.
Johnny took back a copy of the invoice and was ready to leave.
“Wait a minute.” The lady said.
“What do you want now Madam? No worries, you don’t have to feel bad and ask me to stay for dinner.
This is my job as a courier. I’m Buzz Lightyear and don’t need to rest and eat.” Johnny said
sarcastically out of anger.
“Dream on. Carry these into the house for me.” The lady said as she pointed to the pile of packages.
“No way, lady. I’m a courier, not a porter. I already delivered them to your doorstep. You still expect me
to bring them into your house? Our service is delivery to the doorstep, not into the house. I’m sorry,
please take your time to carry them in by yourself.” Johnny said proudly. The invoice had been signed
and he didn’t need her for anything else.
“You won’t carry? I’ll call your company and lodge a complaint.” Jasmine said as she took out her cell
phone.
“Fine fine fine, you’re the boss and I’m your slave, will that do? Can we just focus on what needs to be
done? You could just ask me properly. Don’t always threaten me with the complaint. Let's be friendly
and have some trust in each other, alright?” Johnny yielded as soon as he heard her threat. He
dismounted his tricycle, mumbling and then began to carry the packages.
“Be gentle, your minuscule salary won't be enough to compensate me if you break any of that.” The
lady couldn’t be bothered with Johnny’s grumbles and turned to enter the villa.
“Biatch, I’m sure she lacks a man in her life. Her hormones are imbalanced.” Johnny grumbled as he
carried the packages into the villa.
“What did you say? Say that again?” The lady turned around and glared furiously at Johnny.
“I… I didn’t say anything. I said that Miss Wong is young and capable, gracious and elegant. Yes,
gracious and elegant. I didn’t say anything else.” Johnny quickly reacted.
“You better watch your mouth.” The lady glared sternly at Johnny and then knocked on the door and a
middle-aged maid opened the door.
“Missus, you’re back!” The maid said.
“Yes, bring them in.” The lady said calmly and then walked in.
“Where shall I put them?” Johnny carried the packages in and said with an attitude.
“Put them on the coffee table. Remove the packaging and then throw them outside.” The lady
demanded as she walked without looking at Johnny.
“You… do you take me as your personal servant? I only earn two bucks per package a day. For two
bucks you expect me to be a porter and a cleaner. You even threatened to lodge a complaint against
me. I will be penalized five hundred for each complaint. Did I owe you something in my previous life?”
Johnny couldn’t endure it anymore and just placed all the packages onto the coffee table. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
“It’s alright, Missus, I will take out the empty boxes.” Her maid, Hannah Rees quickly said.
“Lady, it’s okay. I’ll throw them out, no worries. I’m leaving anyway. It’s not an issue about throwing out
the boxes, but an issue with the person’s attitude. Do you know that you’ve gone too far?” Johnny said
as the maid come over and tried to take over the empty boxes.
Johnny removed the boxes as he said to Jasmine, “Hey, Madam, can I ask something of you?”
“Speak, what do you want?” Jasmine asked sternly.
“I beg you, please don’t select our delivery service the next time you purchase anything online. If you
do, then I’ll still have to deliver to your area. I really can’t afford to serve you. I need to earn my living
and I have to feed my family. If I have to deliver packages to you every other day or so, then my salary
will all be penalized due to your complaints. I beg you to do some good and take pity on a poor courier
like me. Please?” Johnny said as he carried out the boxes.
“You…” Jasmine pointed at Johnny furiously and was speechless.
“Fine, I already said that you need not keep me for dinner. No worries, see you… oh no, farewell!”
Johnny said as he left and closed the door behind him.
“What a luck ass am I! Next time I’ll make sure to avoid such beautiful women. No wonder the fortune
teller said that I would have beautiful liaisons this year. Didn’t I encounter it today? At a price of five
hundred bucks!” Johnny cussed as he rode his tricycle.
“Hey, Missus, this bottle looked like it had been damaged,” Hannah said as she was sorting out the
stuff.
“Let me have a look.” Jasmine walked over to look at the delicate bottle. Indeed there was a scratch on
the bottle.
“Call him back!” Jasmine quickly said to Hannah.
Hannah ran out. When she returned, she said, “He had already left.”
Jasmine looked at the bottle and then rushed out and drove her car to chase after Johnny.
Johnny felt terribly sore for being penalized five hundred bucks for the complaint. He sighed as he
smoked a cheap cigarette and grumbled, “Oh… my five hundred bucks, my lovely five hundred
bucks… why did you abandon me? I miss you so much!”
As Johnny rode the tricycle out of the villa complex and onto the road, he saw a kid around 4 or 5 years
old running to the middle of the road to pick up a ball. At this moment, a car sped towards the kid
without any signs of slowing down.
Johnny stared with his eyes wide open, spat out his cigarette, jumped out of his tricycle, and dashed
towards the kid. He grabbed the kid, fell onto the ground, and rolled several times to the side of the
road. It wasn’t until the driver saw Johnny that she realized that there was someone in front and
frantically braked and swerved the car. Johnny rolled away with the kid in his arms and barely avoided
being run over by the car.
Johnny rolled to the side of the road with the kid and only he knew how dangerous it was. His heart
pounded non-stop and he was drenched with sweat. Before he could stand up, he heard a loud crash.
Johnny turned around and saw that the car had crashed into a wall on the roadside and flipped upside
down. The driver of the car initially didn’t notice the kid and realized that there was someone only when
Johnny ran in front of it. She panicked and swerved but because the speed of the car was too fast, the
car flipped several times before coming to a rest when it hit the wall.
Johnny placed the kid on the ground and said, “Quickly go back to your mother and ask her to take you
to the hospital for a checkup. Go!”
After saying this, he hurriedly ran towards the car. He saw that the car was upside down and the driver
had passed out. What made things worse was the car was leaking gasoline. Furthermore, one of the
car’s wheels was on fire. Just like in the Hollywood movies, Johnny assumed that the car would soon
explode or be engulfed in fire. If he didn’t remove the driver soon, she would perish inside the car.
