Lucien used the remote button to open the door for Lucia to get in .

If Lucia was wowed when she entered the company then she was more than wowed now on getting into Lucien’s office.

The interiors were out of the world and she gave a mental high five to the interior designer wherever they are or whoever he is .

Her gaze met Lucien who smiled at the way she was wowed .

Everyone who entered his office were always wowed at it .

Indeed he knew the designer had done a perfect and realistic job .

As if a strange wind blew she immediately got herself and turned to Lucien .

” Good afternoon Lucien sorry boss. ” She said and Lucien nodded with a blank expression .

” Miss Lucia you may have your seat ” he said still focusing on the laptop in front of him making Lucia wonder why the sudden change in expression .

Not minding that she sat down on the soft office chair opposite him. ..

” So you were saying what on the telephone ” he said typing something on his laptop .

” I asked about my pay ” she said politely.

” So what about your pay Miss Lucia ” he asked and Lucia cringed .

The Miss he was attaching to her name was making her feel uncomfortable.

” I wanted to know how much my pay is ” she said trying to act fine but deep inside she wanted to know what went wrong or is it because they were at the office. .

” So why didn’t you check the website ” Lucien asked in a more stricter and professional manner slightly looking at Lucia to know her expression to his changes.

He almost cracked as he saw the way she was moving in her seat uncomfortably but withheld himself .

” I told you I checked when you called earlier . Didn’t I ” she said slightly raising her voice .

” Are you raising your voice at me ” he asked with a cunny calm voice .

Lucia breathed out .

” I am sorry Boss ” she said and sniffed .

She already hated this his new side and if working for him will show her this new sure then she won’t bother working with him again .

” Ok you said you checked the website and didn’t find the pay there right ” he asked and Lucia who was already irritated by his unnecessary questions nodded .

Cara paced around her office wishing she could hear what was going on inside .

But too bad he ignited his soundproof system and it was really surprising and irritating to her that he did because he never used the system except in some special occasions and she doesn’t see anything special with the assistant HR .

” Ok the pay would be updated soon . Do well to check on the website before the end of the day ” he said and Lucia wiped her tears that was about to drop making Lucien worried .

” What’s wrong , why are you tearing up ” he asked getting up from his seat and Lucia immediately got up running towards the door but Lucien was quick enough to hold her and turn her to himself .

” What’s wrong Lucia ” he asked and Lucia didn’t fail to notice he didn’t add the Miss this time around .

” You were so mean . I am sorry I am tearing up boss ” she said trying to wipe her tears with her hands but Lucien offered her a hankie instead which she accepted immediately .

” Clean up your tears and don’t leave my office with such face . Wait for me by the car after closing hours . I will join you . You may leave ” he dropped the bomb making Lucia flinch .

” She thought he was being nice a few minutes ago . Is this guy bipolar ” she thought and immediately wriggled out from his grip , sent him a mean glare before walking out of the office.

If not for one thing she would have quit but she just didn’t want to act all weak to him .

If he wants to act mean then she would be meaner ..

She scoffed as she saw the red eyed Cara staring at her as she passed .

” Seems she is crushing on the bipolar boss ” she muttered , giggling at the new nickname she had for him before getting into the elevator to fifth floor .

Lucien laughed as he watched the drama Lucia just displayed now .

” I thought she said girls are not petty . He hasn’t even started becoming nice to her and she was already tearing up . It would be a matter of a week before she falls helplessly for him …

He grinned the more as he thought of it.

Just a week and he wins the bet.

But deep down he knew this was not a bet to him .

This was a medium to win her heart and it was an easy one for him .

Thelma sat on the bed as she scrolled through her Facebook news feed .

She was planning on going to see Lucien next week.

Derrick had told her to go invite Lucia for the wedding and she wants her to be her bridesmaid since Lucien was going to be Derrick’s best man .

She wants their spark to increase by the time the wedding was over.

The wedding was in two weeks time and more than half of what was needed were ready , just a few things were not like telling Lucia.

Paying for the hall , and some other minor things .

She wanted this wedding to be over with quickly before her baby bump becomes visible.

She was a week gone , it had been detected by the hospital quickly making them hasten the wedding .

. she can wait to become married to Derrick and also become a mother to his kids.

She never believed this kind of beautiful thing is going to happen soon to her and Derrick has been a wonderful husband to her .

The door opened revealing Derrick with a plate of Fruit salad .

” Babe here have some , I made for the baby .” He said and she frowned .

” What about me ” she asked making Derrick chuckle .

Thelma was one hell of a drama queen .
