What happened to Lucia??

Lucia finished up the rice and stew the cook served her and returned the plates to the kitchen giving the cook an appreciative smile .

It was time for her to go home atleast she was done with the chores in the house.

Oh damn I forgot he asked me to prune the flowers that the original person doing it was on sick leave ” Lucia said to herself pinching herself hard till she winced for wanting to leave a work undone at her first day at work .

The cook looked at her from the kitchen and shook her head .

She was really lucky to get this job because she knew Sir Jason does all the house chores by himself and sometimes she assists him and he was never stressed .

Lucien entered the board room with his thoughts filled with Lucia .

Where would she be now ?

What kind of work was she doing ?

If she goes missing, the cops would come for him because she is his responsibility now.

When he gets back today , he would find out everything about her supposed job .

Everyone in the board room looked at Lucien who seemed to be lost for a while before sitting down .

“So we begin , all HD of these department should briefly submit a list of things which they feel are wrong in their department and submit to the CEO”Cara read out .

“HD of Finance , the CEO would love to see the summary of all transaction processes from 6th November till today ” She said concluding .

She felt proud to be the one who calls the shots at the meetings although Lucien has also assigned others in time past .

Lucien looked at every of his staffs at the board meeting and read their expressions .

The HD of Finance seems like he wants to dissapear .

“Mr Sam , you can go to your office with your team and finalize all stuffs before bringing it to me ” Lucien said not taking his gaze from him .

Mr Sam stood up and he and his team scurried out of the office .

“Good job in there Cara ” Lucien said and shook her and she smiled .

” Thanks Boss , I appreciate ” she said trying to think of a way to ask her boss to join her for lunch .

“Care for lunch ” he asked making her heart leap .

” Yes , thank you boss ” she said and hurried off to her office to drop her files .

Lucien smiled and walked to his office, he knew of Cara’s feelings for him but he wasn’t in any way attracted to him , all he sees her like is a secretary and a productive one .

This lunch he is profferring her is to tell her thank you for a job well done although he pays her salary .

” Good afternoon mom ” Dos said dropping his bag on the dinning .

” Welcome son , how was another day pretending dumb at school. ” Mrs Harry asked setting up the table ..

” Well it’s fair , seems I got a friend ” he said making his mum chuckle.

” Well , does the guy like a dumb friend ” she asked dropping the last dish on the table

” Actually it’s a she and I don’t know if she likes me because i saved her from a bully but I think she is sweet ” Dos said remembering Camilla’s innocent face.

” Aww. ” Mrs Harry giggled .

” Mum , stop ” Dos said feigning embarrassment .

” Well finish what ever plans you have before your dad gets back from his trip to find out he has a dumb son ” Mrs Harry said and Dos smiled .

His father will have his head on a plate if he finds out .

” Go call your sister that lunch is served ” Mrs Harry said and Dos picked up his bag and climbed the stairs.

He knocked on his sister’s room and the door opened revealing her on a video call with her boyfriend .

” Angel mum asks you to come for lunch ” Dos said not minding her boyfriend who looks like he is expecting a greeting.

He just scoffed and walked off to his room to freshen up before joining them.

He can’t wait to see Camila tomorrow and find out if she really likes him and he has a plan but he will take it bit by bit.

At the restaurant

California .

” Boss thanks for treating me out for lunch today , I really do appreciate ” Cara said wiping her lips with a serviette .

” It’s nothing , just a treat to tell you job well done ” Lucien said taking the glass drink in his cup .

” Okay since you are done , I suggest we go back to the office. Lunch break is almost over ” Lucien said and Cara smiled sadly .

She wished she can spend the whole time with him but this was a starting point .

First she spends the night at his place and now lunch .

Jane was really a planner .

” What are you thinking about ” Lucien asked chuckling at the way she zoned out .

” Umm nothing , I don’t know .. unnnn” Cara said incoherently feeling embarrassed.

She had let her imagination run wild .

“Ok shall we ” he said and stood up allowing her lead the way to the car ..

He started the car ignition and drove out if the place .

” So what are your dreams if you quit work in the company ” Lucien asked out of the blues making cara uncomfortable.

How can she tell him that her plans would be a CEO alongside with him dishing out duties alongside him.

” I am listening ” Lucien said startling her .

” Well I am saving up to start my own firm…

She was cut short by his phone that started ringing .

” Hello Quinn” Lucia said worried about her teary voice .

” Lucien come home now . Lucia ” she said still tearing up .

” Huh what happened to Lucia . Talk to me ” he said , he felt his heartbeat increase .

Cara was uncomfortable due to the question and now the call .

” Lucia , is ” she was saying and immediately the phone hung up .

Lucien tried calling back but it wasn’t connecting.

He drove faster immediately dropping his phone.
