Lucien looked at Lucia’s eager face as they waited for the doctor to come back with his report to know if their assumptions were true .

He doesn’t know why he feel like Lucia shouldn’t regain her memories .

He scrolled through his phone while they waited not ready to stir up any conversation between them .

The doctor came in after a few more minutes and Lucien raised his head reluctantly from the phone he was holding .

” Ok Lucia after the oral tests and psychological evaluation I did . I don’t think you are regaining your memories . ” The doctor said and Lucia’s face fell .

Lucien didn’t know when he released the breath he was holding and turned to see the fallen face of Lucia .

He too her hands in his and rubbed it to ease her nerves .

” Ok but are there chances that I can regain my memories ” Lucia asked a bit relaxed now .

” Well absolutely , but it might be a long time waiting or it might come quickly but no matter the way it is . Wait for it and be prepared .” He said and Lucia nodded .

” Ok thats fine but another question . How did I know about the pancakes I have tasted before today ” she asked and Lucien also listened keenly to know why .

” Well it’s your taste buds that detected that not your brain . Although your taste buds and your brain works together , it has no connection with today’s event ” he said and Lucia nodded .

” So relax you are a strong lady . You are surely getting your memories back. I know how it feels to forget important stuffs talk more of forgetting your whole life just to start afresh . Take it easy on yourself . Exercise , fruits and good food would also aid the healing faster as they work on your brain ” he explained and Lucia nodded taking all the important details in .

” Doctor thanks for your time . We beg to take our leave ” Lucien said getting up as well as Lucia .

” It’s a pleasure working with you Mr Spencer and it’s no big deal attending to you. That’s my job right ” he said with a small smile and Lucien shook his hands walking out of the office .

” Thanks doctor ” Lucia appreciated and followed Lucien at his back immediately ..

Lucien drove out of the hospital premises taking few side glances at Lucia who looked sad at the same time pale.

” What is the problem Lucia ” he asked worriedly .

” I just feel like what if I don’t regain my memories again . Is this how I would be with no family to call my own , no one to call my friend. ” She said and Lucien smiled .

” Come on Lucia . I know how you feel. You would regain your memories but even if you don’t , you have me by your side , I love you so much.

” You love me ,” Lucia asked Lucien raising her head slightly .

” Yes.. as a friend ” Lucien said and Lucia nodded felling her heart tear but she held herself .

” Lucia the fact I don’t love you the way you think I do doesn’t mean that I don’t care for you . Quinn is there for you , Thelma is also there , Derrick is also there . We are more than family and I know Quinn won’t be happy if she finds out you don’t regard her as family . ” Lucien said and Lucia felt her eyes hit up .

” Thanks Lucien .. your word means a lot to me ” she said letting the tears pour down.

Lucien who was not happy seeing her in tears parked the car by the road side and turned to her wiping her tears with his thumb .

” It’s fine Lucia , just calm down. ” He said patting her hair gently .

Lucia raised her eyes to look at him .

She held his face with her hands startling Lucien .

” Can you please kiss me ” she said with her eyes begging.

Lucien who had always wanted an opportunity looked at her with all desire before smashing his lips on hers .. .

Dos drove into the warehouse roughly and got out of the car without bothering to shut the door walked inside.

As expected he met his dad smoking out from his pipe .

He had a wicked grin on his face as he saw do walked in blowing up .

He knew that he was going to be here .

” Dad Camilla isn’t an ordinary lady . She is the love of my life . I love her so much and I don’t care about any rift you have with her father , just stay away from us . We can fly out of the country just to be far from you but just let her go .” Dos said feeling some pains in his chest.

He held his head in pains and fainted .

Just as his father had expected.
