Vega had already started strategizing. Until that time, she still thought being a lecturer was the best way to approach Alberto, so she could always see him on campus.

“But, how is the way?” asked Vega in her heart.

Vega immediately searched the internet, and she found that Doctor Chico worked as a lecturer besides being a doctor.

“C-Chico works as a lecturer? Really?” asked Vega shockedly. Her eyes were bulging because she was really shocked and couldn’t believe it.

“Really? I’m not sure,” Vega said in her heart.

Because of that, she immediately took out her phone and looked at Chico’s number. Then she called Chico.

“Hi, Chico!” Vega greeted him.

“Hi!” Chico greeted her.

“What’s wrong?” he asked.

“I want to see you. When do you think we can meet?” asked Vega again.

“What’s wrong?” Chico asked again, curiously, because Vega was not usually like this.

Vega wanted to say it, but she hesitated. She was afraid to disturb Chico.

Because of that, she just kept quiet. Meanwhile, Chico asked Vega to say. “Just say it!”

“Chico, you work as a lecturer besides being a doctor, right?” asked Vega.

“Yeah, at Brittle University,” Chico answered.

“Indeed, why?” Chico asked again, curiously, because Vega didn’t usually ask that.

Vega immediately explained her purpose. Hearing that, Chico immediately chuckled and shook his head because he couldn’t stop thinking about Vega’s behavior.

He also asked. “Are you so crazy that you even tried to follow Alberto to his campus and become a lecturer?”

“That’s not funny, Chico. I’m being serious,” Vega answered.

“Are you going to help me or not?” Vega grunted with an angry expression.

“I just didn’t expect you to be this persistent for that man, Vega. Moreover, he can’t satisfy you in bed.” Chico explained his reason for laughing.

“So, what’s with you chasing him?” Chico asked Vega’s reason for chasing Alberto.

“Are you sure you want to make Alberto your boyfriend again? Isn’t sexual satisfaction the most important thing to you? Chico asked about Vega’s beliefs.

“Stop being sarcastic! You probably won’t believe it, but I don’t care about that anymore,” Vega scolded.

“I love Alberto, and I want him to be mine again. Just that.” Vega declared her wish.

“Oh. It turns out, you’re obsessed with him.” Chico nodded his head because he understood.

“Well! I’ll help you,” Chico said.

“By the way, do you know whether Brittle University opens for vacancies or not?” asked Vega.

“For now, not yet. But just take it easy, Vega!” Chico tried to calm Vega down.

“I’ll find out for you, if anything. Later, I will tell you after getting the information,” said Chico.

“You can also check on Brittle University’s website. Usually, they post the job openings that they need there,” Chico said again.

“What’s the name of the website?” asked Vega. Chico mentioned it right away, and Vega took notes right away.

“Thank you!” Vega thanked him.

“You’re welcome.”

“I’m happy that you’re trying to make amends to Alberto and trying to mend your relationship. I’ll help as much as I can,” replied Doctor Chico with a genuine smile.

Chico didn’t agree that Alberto had another love relationship with Vega. He feels that Alberto deserves Lorena (his girlfriend, who is better and more sincere than Vega).

Because of that, he didn’t want to help Vega. But, on the other hand, he knows that Vega is very serious and very persistent in fighting to get Alberto’s love again, which she had wasted.

He knows Vega doesn’t give up easily, and it’s not impossible that Vega will continue to force him to provide information. Because of that, he chose to help Vega instead of being asked a lot of questions by Vega.

If asked, how will it be with Alberto? Chico was afraid that Vega would chase Alberto’s love.

He knows Alberto already has a girlfriend because he is a lecturer there. However, he’s sure that Alberto loves Lorena very much and that Lorena loves Alberto very much.

He is also very sure that Alberto’s relationship with Lorena won’t be broken, and Alberto won’t let Lorena go in vain just for the sake of Vega. So he agreed to do just that.

“Once again, thank you!” Vega thanked him again.

“I’m sorry! I want to prepare the necessary files first!” Vega apologized.

“Yes! Please!”

“Just be calm! I’ll call you later.”

Not long after, the call ended with Vega turning the phone off. She immediately prepared the required data, such as CVs, certificates that had been legalized, transcripts of grades from undergraduate to doctoral levels, certificates, and other supporting data.

She also listed skills or abilities, work experience, and other things that she had done. She was sure that the data would be requested because usually such data is requested for administrative or file selection.

Meanwhile, for other supporting data, such as drug-free certificates and health certificates, she would prepare them later. She did that for almost half a day.

She felt so tired that she exhaled heavily. “Fyuuh!”

“It’s too much work to make it like this.” Vega complained in her heart.

“Indeed, I haven’t listed my data for a long time. I’ve only done that now,” Vega said again in her heart.

“It’s just the beginning. What about later?” Vega asked silently.

“It’s okay. I have to be enthusiastic for Alberto’s sake!” Vega said in her heart.

After she finished preparing all the data, she just waited for information from Chico. Vega also tried to find out about open faculty vacancies at Brittle University through social media.

She also often reads other people’s blogs about their experiences when applying to be lecturers. That way, Vega believes she will be better prepared in the future because she is afraid of a different experience.

A few days later, Vega saw a job vacancy at Brittle University. She immediately said with excitement.

Vega was about to send it via email, but at that moment, her phone rang. Vega took her phone and saw that Chico was calling.

She picked up the call and greeted him. “Hi, Chico! What’s wrong?”

“Hi, Vega! Did you check the website today?” said Chico.

“Yes, I did,” Vega replied.

“You’ve completed your data, right?” Chico confirmed it again.

“Yes, I have completed it.” Vega nodded her head.

“Please send it to me!” Chico ordered.

“Don’t be late! Remember, opportunities don’t come twice!” Chico tried to remind her.

“Okay.”

“Thank you for all your help, Doctor Chico! I owe you one!” Vega said it happily.

“You’re welcome, Vega,” answered Doctor Chico.

“Well! You can send your file right after this call,” said Chico.

“By the way, I forgot to tell you something,” said Chico.

“What’s that?” asked Vega.
