He settled back against the couch and closed his eyes. He prayed he could go back to sleep and that she would not have any more dreams.

He kissed her forehead and she nuzzled into his chest. She didn’t act like she didn’t want him. She also hadn’t said she didn’t. She had asked him to stay. That meant something, right? He had to keep hope that they would be together and no matter how long it took, he was determined to trust her.
