Chapter 146 A Crazy Idea
Erik was an important guest at the dinner tonight.
After being molested by him, Athena felt there was no need to go back to the dinner.
After sending a message to Byron, she took a taxi and left.
As soon as she got in the car, Byron called her.
Athena hesitated for a moment before answering the phone.
So, Erik had gone to ask Byron for her?
She answered the phone and said, "Mr. Crawford."
"Where are you?" He asked.
"In the car," Athena replied.
"Are you feeling unwell?" Byron asked again.
Athena wanted to say something in a fit of pique, but she didn't want to irritate him.
"I'm having a headache," Athena said perfunctorily, "Don't worry about me. I'll be better after sleeping
for a while."
"Do you have medicine at home?" Byron asked.
"Yes," she replied.
Somehow, the scene of Byron gently wiping the red wine off her face had been haunting her mind.
"I'll be back soon." Byron's tone softened.
Athena wanted to let him go back to his own place and don't disturb her, but she didn't say that in the
end.
After she hung up the phone, the driver opened the car radio, and it was broadcasting news.
A rich man in North America died in a private plane crash two hours ago, and his body couldn't be
found because of the violent explosion.
When hearing this, Athena sat upright a little.
Perhaps she could also create an explosion?
But how?
She needed to make it realistic and convince Byron...
Thinking of this, she was lost in thought.
After going back to the apartment, she took a bath.
As the company would hold a meeting about the energy company, Athena went to the study to prepare
the materials needed for tomorrow's meeting after drying her hair.
At the same time, she also sorted out the original candidates for the president of the energy company.
As she didn't work for half a month and she was pregnant, she often felt tired after working for a while.
After sorting out the documents, she didn't want to work anymore. She stretched herself and lay on the
sofa of the study.
She wanted to take a nap for a while but fell into a sound sleep.
When Byron came back, the living room was pitch black.
His heart skipped a beat.
Without even taking off his shoes, he strode towards the bedroom.
The bedroom was also dark.
He turned on the light and found the bed was empty.
Panic welled up in his heart.
"Did she run away?" He thought.
He immediately called her, but it said her phone was powered off.
Byron was completely panicked.
While he was about to call someone to find her, he noticed there was light in the study room from the
corner of his eye.
Byron hurried over and carefully pushed the door open.
Then, he saw Athena on the sofa.
On the carpet next to the sofa, there was her phone.
Looking at her, Byron suddenly felt like he was a survivor of a disaster.
He went back to the entrance, took off his shoes and coat, entered the study again, and gently hugged
Athena.
Athena woke up in a daze. Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Seeing it was Byron, she instinctively rubbed his neck and said, "You're back."
Her voice was still as soft and sweet as before.
Byron subconsciously held her more tightly.
"Yes, I'm back," Byron replied softly.
Athena was very sleepy.
She just nodded, buried her head in Byron's arms, and fell into a deep sleep again.
During the short minutes, Byron didn't realize his mood fluctuated like a roller coaster.
