Chapter 150
Chapter 150
"Don't come any closer! Liam, are you out of your mind? Back off, remember this is the Stone family's home, I'm Celena's dad. If you kill me, what about Celena and Jovie?" Yafe's plea was desperate, his words jumbled as he scrambled backward on the floor.
Cheryl was petrified, too scared to even wipe the blood from her mouth, shaking uncontrollably as she sat huddled by the pillar.
Liam's voice was chilling, a harbinger of doom that echoed in the depths of their souls.
"You all, you're gonna pay for this! After all the times you've hurt Celena, you have the nerve to bring her up?"
Liam's voice was a thunderclap. He reared back, his foot poised to unleash a kick.
However, before he could strike, a swarm of the Stone family's bodyguards burst in. Batons at the ready, they encircled Liam in a tight ring.
Yafe and Cheryl seized the chaos to scramble up from the dirt, cowering behind the wall of muscle, their voices seething with rage. "Get him! Beat the hell out of him! Make him regret his arrogance, I want him dead!"
The bodyguards surged forward at the command, batons raised high, descending upon Liam.
Liam's eyes narrowed, his face a mask of fury, and he lashed out.
Bang, bang, bang!
In a heartbeat, the bodyguards crumpled to the ground, their batons clattering across the courtyard, cries of agony echoing through Yafe's estate.
It was a blood-chilling sight.
Yafe stood there, slack-jawed. Liam's prowess was beyond belief.
"Now, it's your turn!"
Liam's voice was ice as he fixed his gaze on Yafe, fists clenched, advancing with deliberate steps.
"Stop right there!"
The command thundered from the doorway.
Mr. Stone, flanked by a legion of bodyguards, stormed in. He took in the scene—the fallen men, the battered Yafe and Cheryl—and his voice boomed with fury. "Liam! This is outrageous! You're in Stone territory, not the wilds of the Cole family! You've crossed the line!" Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
Liam let out a scornful laugh. "The Stone family? Please, Mr. Stone, let's get one thing straight. Celena's willingness to work with you was a privilege for your family. And now you want to pit her plans against Cheryl's? Alright, let's do it. However, tell me, why are you trying to hijack this deal when Celena's proposal was already greenlit? And how dare you think of passing off her work as Cheryl's?"
Mr. Stone, witnessing Liam's defiance and audacity to challenge him, let out a derisive snort. "This is a Stone family matter, Liam. What's it to you? Remember who you are—a nobody without a roof over your head until we took you in. And now, you have the gall to cause trouble and hurt someone under my roof? You're done here! Guards! Break his legs and toss him out!"
Liam's face turned to ice. "Fine. If that's how it's going to be, there's nothing left to say."
He was ready to make the first move, but just then, Celena, looking fragile and panicked, burst in. She threw herself in front of Liam, tears streaming down her face. "Liam, please, don't do this. I
don't care about the deal anymore! I can't bear to see you hurt. Just listen to me, don't do anything rash, don't fight with Grandpa!"
Celena then turned to Mr. Stone, her body bending in a deep bow, her voice a desperate whisper. "Grandpa, I'm begging you. I'll give up the deal, and let Cheryl have it. Just please, forgive Liam. Don't hurt him, don't cast him out."
