My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley)

Chapter 843

Chapter 843

Logan initially thought Esther's mention of switching shifts in two hours was mere talk—he didn't

anticipate her waking up right on time.

Esther stood before Logan and said in a deep voice, "Go rest."

Checking the time, Logan found it to be 3:00 a.m. Normally, everyone would be asleep, and unusual

activities were uncommon. Logan wasn't Iron Man capable of going without sleep for 24 hours. This

time, he didn't decline. Instead, he went to sleep while Esther kept watch.

Although Esther wasn't sure about the specifics of Logan's mission, she naturally wanted to cooperate

well with him as his partner.

At 6:00 a.m., Logan woke up, washed up, and returned with breakfast, coffee, and a garbage bag.

Esther glanced at Logan. He placed her breakfast in front of her, sat on a chair, and opened the

garbage bag. The contents made his expression particularly serious.

Esther sipped her coffee and silently observed without disturbing Logan's thoughts.

Logan put on gloves and carefully picked out crucial items from the garbage, putting them into another

bag. After tying the bag securely, he threw it back into the trash bin.

Logan washed his hands, drank his coffee, and stood beside Esther. Slowly, he explained, "Mr. Sinclair

suspects that this group is related to the drug traffickers involved in the incident with your father."

Esther's gaze sharpened with a hint of killing intent. "You—"

Logan interrupted Esther's question and said, "I only know this much now. We need to continue the

investigation for specifics. However, whether you can restart that code unit depends on your ability to

catch the drug traffickers who killed your parents."

Logan handed Esther a card Gabriel had given him.

"Familiar with it?"

Esther took the card. The back was blank, but the front displayed the flower of guilt, making Esther

shudder. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

"Mr. Sinclair didn't ask you to cooperate with me just because he hopes you can help me. He must

want you to personally catch the killers who caused the death of your family."

Esther stared at the card intensely.

Logan focused on eating his sandwich.

Esther continued looking at the card, and a familiar image suddenly flashed in her mind. Putting down

her coffee cup, she said coldly, "Keep an eye on things."

"Sure."

Esther entered the bathroom, washed her face with cold water, and looked at herself in the mirror. The

reflection took her back to her childhood. Once, she was very happy—extremely happy. Now... she had

lost many loved ones.

She took a deep breath, suppressed the restlessness in her heart, and walked out of the bathroom.

At that moment, her expression turned exceptionally resolute.
