"Jacob, is Mommy going to die?" Felix asked.

Jacob took a deep breath and reassured, "No, she won't."

Tears welled up in Felix's young eyes. He seemed both uncertain about Jacob's words and hopeful for

his support. He was scared, anxious, and trembling all at once.

Sunshine walked over to Felix from Jacob's side. "Felix, Mommy will be alright."

Felix shouted, "You can hit me, but you can't hit Mommy!"

With her innocent charm, Sunshine added, "Jacob, hurting wives is against the law. We should call the

police to arrest him!"

Bradley held Felix's wrist with just enough force. However, when he saw Sunshine's face, which

Esther?"
