Chapter 106
Chapter 106
“Mommy!”
Esther reached out and hugged Felix in her arms, ruffling his hair. In an instant, his neat hair gained a
touch of messy charm.
“Felix, did you sleep well last night? Mommy made breakfast for you. Do you want to try it?”
asked Esther.
Felix nodded eagerly.
“Then be a good boy and go wash up,” said Esther.
Felix dashed into the bathroom while Esther arranged the containers she brought on the table
one by one.
As Bradley entered the ward after he finished his morning run, he saw the abundant variety of
breakfast on the table and Esther, who should not be there. With a dark expression, he questioned,
“Esther, who allowed you to come here?”
Remembering Melinda’s teachings from last night, Esther suppressed her nervousness and
uneasiness and called out sweetly, “Darling, I came to bring you breakfast.”
Bradley’s gaze fell on the various types of breakfast, questioning with a mocking tone, ” Esther, from
which breakfast shop did you buy these? Don’t you know that Felix can’t eat food from outside?”
“I made them myself.” Esther’s eyes welled up with tears of grievance. She extended the back of her
hand to show Bradley the blister. “Look, this is a blister I got when the oil splashed while I fried the
eggs.”
Melinda, beside them, also testified, “Mr. Bradley, Madam prepared these dishes. She woke up at 4:00
a.m. to cook.”
Bradley’s sharp gaze carried cold scrutiny. RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
How could Esther know how to make such a lavish spread of breakfast? How was this possible?
Before she went to prison, she didn’t even know how to boil water! She did not know how to make
instant noodles!
Could it be that spending five years in prison was equivalent to attending an express culinary course?
“Esther, take your breakfast and get out of the ward,” Bradley coldly commanded. He was not willing to
let Esther intrude into his and Felix’s world without a sense of propriety. Furthermore, he did not want to
speculate on the hidden motives behind her various actions.
“Daddy!” Felix, who had finished washing up, immediately rushed between Esther and
Bradley. “I want to have Mommy’s breakfast.”
Bradley gnashed his teeth and coldly reprimanded, “Felix.”
Felix stood unwaveringly in front of Esther, but his stance was somewhat weakened. “They say on TV
that wasting food is shameful. Many children on Earth don’t have food to eat.”
Esther placed her hand on Felix’s shoulder, her eyes slightly reddened. She softly said, ” Darling,
please try the breakfast I made, okay?”
Bradley remained cold and indifferent. “I’m afraid you’ve poisoned it.”
Upon hearing that, Felix went to the dining table and immediately put a steamed shrimp into his mouth.
“Daddy, Mommy didn’t poison it.”
Bradley cast a cold glance at Felix, then at the currently oblivious Esther, his chest filled with stifled
anger, and he turned into the bathroom.
Felix pulled Esther to sit at the dining table, looking at the blister on her hand with concern. “Mommy,
does it hurt?” he asked.
