Clark was the one who had collected the samples for Bradley and Felix’s DNA paternity test and picked
up the report in the hospital. Up till now, the test report was still in his safe.
Liliane’s mother had said back then that since Bradley would not marry Liliane, she had prohibited her
from becoming an unmarried mother.
Liliane, who had rushed over after catching wind of it, had gotten on her knees on a rainy night to beg
Bradley to return Felix to her so they would not be separated. She had passed out after that.
From that day onward, Bradley had also silently acknowledged Liliane’s presence around Felix.
A DNA maternity test sufficed to prove whether Felix was or was not Esther’s son. However, even if
Felix’s birth was confirmed, how had Liliane taken Felix away from Esther back then?
“Mr. Felix, don’t tell anyone about this tonight.” Clark held Felix’s hand and said seriously, Especially in
front of Liliane. Don’t show that you know about your birth. If all this is true, that
woman is terrifying.”
The woman had begun planning five years ago. Each step was calculated with precision. If a woman
like her found out that Felix knew her secret, then… Felix would be in danger.
“But Daddy’s getting married to her!” Felix was filled with worry.
Clark reached out and gently patted Felix’s head, soothingly saying, “Mr. Felix, your most important
task right now is to take care of yourself and strive to reunite with Madam as soon as possible.”
“She doesn’t know that I am her son yet.” Felix lowered his head, his face sad and lonesome. “She
fainted and coughed out blood.”
“It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t know. Our Mr. Felix knows.” Clark encouraged him. “Mr. Felix’s a little
man and will protect her, right?” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
“I’m super brave!”
“Our Mr. Felix’s as brave as Thor!”
Felix had just undergone surgery and was still in the recovery period, so Clark did not keep him on the
rooftop for too long. He secretly took some of Felix’s hair, intending to visit Esther tomorrow and take
some of her hair or blood to redo the DNA maternity test.
He could not simply rely on Liliane’s words alone to determine that Esther was Felix’s mother. He
believed that science would give him a perfect answer.
“Clark, thank you.”
When Clark and Felix returned to the hospital room from the rooftop, Bradley’s mood had returned
to normal.
Felix obediently lay on the hospital bed, and Clark put on his favorite clips of The Avengers.
“Mr. Bradley, I heard that you’re going to marry Ms. Anstey?”
Bradley’s burning gaze fell on Felix, and he spoke frankly. “After Felix recovers, he’ll be starting
elementary school soon. Sometimes, the school requires mothers to participate in parent activities. If I
don’t get married and give her a status, Felix will be laughed at by his classmates.’
Clark readily expressed his understanding. “Your marriage is a big deal. There’s no need to rush it. If
you and Ms. Anstey don’t mind, I can take care of it for you.”
“Thank you for the kind offer, Clark.” Liliane came out of the bathroom, her smile bright like a blooming
flower. “I have nothing to do, so I can talk to the wedding planning company myself. If you’re free, could
you please take care of Felix at the hospital? I’m afraid that I won’t have time to take care of him when I
get busy.”
Clark looked at Felix, who had closed his eyes and was resting, with a loving gaze and said, “Ms.
Anstey, if you ever become unavailable, I can take care of Felix anytime.”
Liliane walked to Bradley’s side and hugged his arm, joking intimately, “If Grandpa Thomas were still
alive, he’d be happy to see Felix recover and our family happy and content, right, Brad?” Clark’s
burning gaze immediately caught the flash of viciousness deep in Liliane’s eyes.
