Emily rubbed her sleepy eyes, closing her laptop as she was finally done with the day’s work.

She grabbed her phone and upon switching it on widened her eyes in shock.

It was already past 9! So damn late!

She unlocked her phone and saw a couple of messages along calls from Olivia which read;

“Hey dummy! You didn’t have breakfast this morning, grab something for lunch!”

“And don’t forget on your way back home, buy some groceries for tonight’s dinner from the grocery store.”

“It’s so late already, are you planning on sleeping in your office?”

“Or are you perhaps having fun with your hot boss?”

“You must gist me when you come back Em, no excuses.”

“Dummy”

Emily muttered smiling as she read the messages.

She grabbed her bag from the table and hastily made her way out of the office with the intention of heading straight to the grocery store before heading home.

“Are you being chased by a ghost?”

Niguel asked, his deep voice scaring the hell out of Emily and she flinched in fear.

She didn’t see him standing there.

“How long have you been standing there?” She asked but got no reply from Niguel.

“Nothing’s chasing me Niguel, I have to grab some groceries from the store before they closes if only they haven’t closed yet.”

“I’ll drop you off then.”

He suddenly announced to her utter most surprise.

“No, no need for that, I’ll be fine.”

She declined, she didn’t want to trouble him of driving her to the store where he would wait for her to buy the stuffs she needed before he finally drives her home, it would be too much of a stress. The fact that he was also her boss made it so complicated.

“I’m trying to be a gentleman here Emily so I insist, meet me at the parking lot.”

He declared walking away hereby making her roll her eyes in frustration.

“Why can’t he just listen to me once?”

She asked no one in particular as she trailed behind him, his long legs not making it easy for her to quickly catch up to him.

They got to the parking lot minutes after and upon entering the car, he zoomed out of the company.

AT THE STORE.

“You didn’t have to follow me in you know?”

Emily asked, not comfortable with the attention she was receiving from passer-bys in the grocery store and soon enough some of them started taking pictures, well what was she expecting? He was the CEO of the biggest company in the town afterall. She would have literally done the same.

Niguel had insisted on following her into the store even after she told him she only needed to grab a few things and now the whole attention was on them.

“As a good fiance Emily, I had to.”

He simply muttered, walking beside her as she picked the stuffs she needed to buy.

After picking the needed groceries, she made her way to the cashier to pay but Niguel insisted and paid for it instead.

“Isn’t that the CEO of Cloudrevel? What’s he doing here?”

Emily heard some ladies mutter behind them.

“He’s so handsome.”

“Gosh, look at his lips, so damn hot.”

They kept on whispering not even acknowledging her presence.

Since Niguel wanted a show off, why don’t she make the show more real and sweet?

“Hey hubby, I forgot to pick some few more things for dinner, can you please help me get them?”

Emily asked, resting her head on Niguel’s chest like a tired wife making the man let out a chuckle.

What was she trying to do?

“Sure honey, I’ll be right back.”

Niguel said and briskly walked away from her.

Now all the attention was drawn on Emily.

“Who’s she?”

She heard the same ladies asked behind her.

“Could she be his girlfriend?”

“I don’t think so, she has never appeared with him on any of the magazines, she might just be his plaything.”

Emily heard one of the ladies reply and she couldn’t help but fold her hands in anger.

She had to shut this ladies up.

“Hey babe, I’m back, hope I didn’t keep you waiting for long?”

Niguel asked, walking towards Emily with a bag of items.

“No baby you didn’t keep me waiting for long.”

Emily replied, slipping her arm around his waist.

“Here babe, you forgot to pick this also.”

Niguel muttered bringing out a pack of sanitary pads from the bag.

“Thanks babe.”

Emily uttered and gave him a quick kiss on the lips leaving the ladies at their back speechless with the couple’s sudden display of affection.

“I’m surely gonna post this.”

One of the ladies announced taking pictures of the couples.

Niguel paid for the bills and afterwards left the store with Emily, leaving the ladies gushing over them.

“You’re hell of a good actress Emily, why not work for the movies industry instead?”

Niguel asked immediately they entered his car, bursting into laughter.

He was shocked at first when he heard her call him hubby but decided to play along with her and to be honest he was astonished at her great acting skills.

She totally nailed it.

“You weren’t so bad either, hubby.”

Emily complimented making him let out a chuckle.

What a crazy lady.

“Didn’t you go too far buying the sanitary pads? You’re the CEO of cloudrevel and what am I gonna do with it? She asked.

“Whatever you females do with it Emily.” He nonchalantly replied.

“I’m definitely gonna sell it.” Emily muttered and he chuckled. This lady…

” Emily, your punishment officially starts tomorrow, from tomorrow you’ll be living with me as my fiancee.”

He suddenly declared.

“Tomorrow? But.. but..” she tried protesting.

“No buts Emily, you’ll officially start playing the role of my fiancee tomorrow.” He muttered, hitting the not so busy road as it was already late.
