Chapter 6 How About Marrying Me?
Nathan followed Caleb.
With Liam leading the way, they stopped before a storage room that was half underground.
Liam struggled to open the door.
“Open the door.” Seeing this, Caleb ordered.
The door was quickly opened by the bodyguard, and Caleb walked in at once.
After Caleb let go of Liam, Liam ran to the window in a hurry and saw Eva, who was lying in a coma on the ground.
“Liam, how did you know she was here?” Nathan glanced at Eva and stepped forward.
Liam opened his arms at once and protected Eva like an eagle protecting a chicken. Nathan wanted to approach them but was pushed back.
“Pick Liam up.” After Caleb finished speaking, he walked over in person, wanting to pick up Eva. Hearing this, Liam didn’t stop Caleb but lay obediently in Nathan’s arms.
Caleb carried Eva to the car and said, “I want all the surveillance footage in an hour.”
When Eva opened her eyes, what she saw was the white and flawless wall, accompanied by a strong smell of disinfectant in the air.
“You’re awake.” Nathan was the first to find that Eva was awake, so he looked at her curiously beside the bed.
Eva lay on her back and looked at Nathan. It occurred to her that she knew this man. “Mr. Livingstone?”
“You know me?” Nathan was a little surprised. He was happy about being so well-known!
Eva smiled and said, “Of course, you’re the president of Luxstar!”
“Hey, Caleb, don’t pull me. I’m talking with her.” Before Nathan could finish his words, he was pulled away from Eva’s bed.
“Thank you for saving Liam. You can ask me for anything you want.” Caleb threw Nathan behind him and stood before Eva.
Eva was a little stunned and realized he was the man she bumped into in the mall. Eva didn’t expect him to be a father!
“Would you mind telling me who you are?”
“This is my brother. You saved Liam yesterday, so he wants to repay you. You can ask him for anything you want, such as a company.” Nathan tried his best to make him noticed.
“I’m Caleb Livingstone. The kid you saved is called William Livingstone, and his nickname is Liam. He is my son.” Caleb’s voice was husky, like a song played by the dulcimer.
Only then did Eva realize that this man was the president of the Lumenstone Group. He was almost the richest man in this city.
With a smile, Eva said, “Nice to meet you, Mr. Livingstone. Liam saved me as well, so I should thank you both.”
“If you don’t want money, how about marrying me?” Caleb said seriously.
“What?” Eva was frightened and looked at Nathan in bewilderment.
Nathan rushed over and explained with a smile, “Liam is Caleb’s only son. You saved Liam yesterday, so Caleb would like to do anything for you, let alone marry you.”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
“No, thanks. I didn’t do anything. Without you, I would have been trapped there, so I should repay you in return. ”
Without eating anything, Eva was forced to be drunk by that lecherous director. Hence, she fainted from hunger after helping Liam out.
Worse still, she woke up in a VIP ward, and Caleb was asking her to marry him. How scary!
“No, Caleb is determined to repay you,” Nathan said.
Caleb frowned at Eva.
Eva shivered with fright after looking him in the eye, and hurriedly covered her head with the quilt.
Why did Caleb insist on marrying her? Eva even wondered whether he was gay who needed a nominal wife. Thinking of this, Eva decided she had to reject him.
