Chapter 10 Made to Stay
“William Livingstone.”
William wrote in Eva’s palm.
“William? What a nice name!” Eva hugged William and said in a gentle voice. Even if William didn’t say anything, he could communicate happily with her.
Nathan walked in and was surprised that William became so tame.
Eva had nothing to do in the afternoon, and Renee wouldn’t take the initiative to contact her, so Eva spent the whole afternoon with William in the hospital. In the evening, Nathan personally brought supper for them.Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.
“It’s suppertime. I shouldn’t eat with you.” Eva didn’t want and dare to eat with Caleb, who always wore a long face.
“Sit down,” Caleb said coldly.
William held Eva’s hand, for fear that she would go away.
“Well, thank you for the meal.”
Nathan said, “Don’t be afraid. Caleb won’t beat you. I specially asked the cook to make you a big tonic soup in case you would faint from malnutrition again.”
“Mr. Livingstone, do the artists in your company need to keep fit?” Eva asked.
“Of course,” Nathan explained, “but you don’t work in our company, so just eat whatever you want.”
“An artist will become less popular if he or she gets fat. If the artists of other companies get fat, your artists would be more popular,” Eva thought.
The cook in the Livingstone family did well in cooking. The meal smelt great.
Eva had a great time eating this meal. No one had eaten with her at the table for a long time. After returning to the country, she either ate with the crew or made something at home. This feeling brought Eva to ten years ago when she was eating, chatting, and laughing with her family.
“Liam, you need to eat more vegetables. You can’t be a picky eater.” As soon as Eva turned her head, she saw William picking the vegetables out of the bowl.
Then, to Caleb’s and Nathan’s surprise, William took the vegetables back and ate them seriously.
“Good job!” Eva stroked William’shair and praised him.
“Fantastic!” Nathan gave Eva a thumbs up and said sincerely.
Whatever Nathan had done before, William refused to eat those vegetables. However, Eva’s words worked out, which stunned Nathan.
“Mind your own business.” Caleb interrupted Nathan, but his eyes turned gentler when he looked at Eva.
After supper, Caleb’s assistant brought makeup remover and toiletries for Eva. Seeing this, Eva realized she was plotted against. This was a trap, or these things couldn’t be brought here so quickly!
Even so, Eva had promised William to stay with him, so she had no choice but to bite the bullet and sleep here.
In the morning, Caleb asked Eva to marry him while he forced her to stay overnight at night. Eva could figure out what he wanted to do. Confused, she went to the bathroom.
After Eva washed up, she went out with her face wet.
As soon as Eva got out of the bathroom, she bumped into Caleb, who was standing at the door. She raised her eyebrows and asked, “Mr. Livingstone, do you think I will run away?”
Looking at Eva’s tender face, Caleb was a little stunned.
