Aiken and Simona stopped their conversation. Then, together with Skylar, they set off from the villa.

In the car, Simona and Skylar chatted endlessly about everything from Fachington to the new school and skincare.

Girls always had plenty to talk about when it came to these topics.

Usually, Aiken would get a headache listening to women talk about such things. But today, for some reason, he found it oddly comforting.

At one point, Simona pulled out a few photos to show Skylar, likely of some jewelry. Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

Skylar, being knowledgeable about the subject, explained everything in detail, which also piqued Aiken’s interest.

Before they knew it, they arrived at a museum–one of the largest in Fachington, resembling a palace. Skylar had been in the country for a few days but hadn’t had the chance to visit yet. It was on her itinerary, but she didn’t expect she would come with Aiken and Simona.

After getting out of the car; they went straight inside.

There weren’t many visitors. So, Skylar put her phone on silent and quietly enjoyed the exhibits.

Aiken followed behind the two women. He had been to this museum a few times before, so it no longer appealed to him.

Three hours later, they left the museum.

Skylar turned her phone back on and checked it for calls or messages. There was nothing.

Just as she was about to put her phone away, Natalie sent a message saying she had caught a cold and was now resting at the hotel, feeling weak. So she couldn’t meet up with Skylar later in the day.

This made Skylar frown. Natalie had just been to the hospital for stomach pains, and now she was down with a cold.

“Skylar, Aiken and I were just discussing whether we should grab lunch now and continue with our trip after that. What do you think?” Simona asked Skylar.

Aiken also looked at Skylar and waited for her response.

Feeling a bit apologetic, Skylar said, “A friend of mine has suddenly fallen ill and is alone at the hotel. I’m a bit worried, so I can’t join you for the rest of the day. I’m really sorry.”

Simona was disappointed. “It’s okay. We’ll just hang out another time.”

“I’ll have the driver take you,” Aiken offered, hiding his own disappointment well. He didn’t show any signs to Skylar or Simona.

Skylar declined. “I’ll just catch a cab. Her hotel isn’t far from here.”

“Okay, be safe.”

After Skylar left, Simona glanced at Aiken and noticed his serious expression. “Why do I feel like you’re more disappointed than I am?”

“Nonsense. Have you decided what to have for lunch?” Aiken asked, keeping a straight face.

Simona smirked and replied in a seemingly uninterested tone, “Whatever. I saw a few restaurants on the

way here. Let’s just grab something simple.”

Without Skylar around, Simona felt incredibly bored hanging out with Aiken. She suddenly regretted coming to Fachington with him. It was nowhere near as fun being in their home country.

Aiken agreed with his sister. “Sounds good.”

The siblings went to one of the restaurants they had passed earlier and casually ordered some steaks for lunch.

Skylar arrived at Natalie’s hotel soon after.
