Chapter 789 My Friend Told Me
Violet's words made Ethan speechless.
The two looked at each other in the interior mirror. In the end, Ethan made a concession. He nodded
and said, "Okay, I'll stay away from you."
After speaking, he stepped on the accelerator.
A day ago, Ethan received a call from Harrison.
He originally thought that Harrison would let him strive to marry Violet as soon as possible.
However, Harrison seriously told him to stay away from Violet and not to bully her.
Ethan was brought up by Harrison.
He knew Harrison very well, so he just said okay perfunctorily as usual.
Then he learned that Hector had arranged many blind dates for Violet.
Harrison finally said, "You just want to be Violet's good friend, don't you? That's good. You can
accompany her on her blind dates and help her judge the bad guys."
Therefore, Ethan had to accompany his beloved woman on blind dates.
Ethan was 30 years old but never dreamed that this kind of strange thing would happen to him.
Meanwhile, Colin and others were boarding.
Abbot approached Colin and wanted to bet with him how many days Ethan could last.
If Abbot won, Colin would help him propose to Rebecca.
Colin raised his eyebrows and looked at Abbot. Seeing Abbot's serious expression, Colin promised him
and said that he would still help him even if Abbot lost the bet.
Abbot looked at Colin in surprise, and Colin said with a faint smile, "After all, we're best friends. I can't
bear to see you stay single."
Abbot twitched the corner of his mouth and kept whispering. Before he could finish speaking, Rebecca,
who was sitting beside him, hooked her eye mask down and said displeasedly, "Can you keep quiet?"
Abbot bit back his words.
Rebecca said, "Even if you are not tired, others need to rest."
To get the next few days off, she stayed up late to work overtime last night.
Hearing Rebecca's words, Abbot was silent for a moment. Thinking of his proposal plan, he didn't dare
to retort. After thinking for a while, he didn't know what to say to please Rebecca, so he simply closed
his eyes.
Seeing the interaction between Abbot and Rebecca, Colin and Faye looked at each other and couldn't
help laughing.
Colin said in a deep voice, "Abbot listens to Rebecca very much."
Faye smiled and said, "Everything has its vanquisher."
The honeymoon destination was Fairyland.
It was a small town along the Chamond Coastline in the Tisall Region of Alomond.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
This place, with its back to the mountains and facing the sea, was known as the garden of celebrities.
Colin covered Faye with a thin blanket and kissed her forehead. "Get some sleep. It will take more than
twenty hours to arrive."
Faye nodded, holding Colin's hand, and closed her eyes.
Meanwhile, Ethan and Violet arrived at the blind date location.
In the private room, the man who had a blind date with Violet was Arthur Calvin, and he was very
satisfied with her.
While pouring Violet some coffee with enthusiasm, Arthur asked about her hobbies thoughtfully. "What
do you usually like to do?"
Violet smiled softly and replied, "In addition to dancing, I..."
Ethan said calmly with an indifferent look, "She likes playing cards and games."
Then the atmosphere in the room instantly became stifling.
Arthur was stunned. His hands trembled uncontrollably, and most of the coffee spilled on the table.
Then he tidied up in a flurry.
After a while, Arthur cleaned the table and sat down. He smiled embarrassedly and said, "Mr. Bond,
you're really humorous."
Ethan said with cold eyes, "I'm not kidding."
Arthur was speechless.
The atmosphere suddenly became more stifling.
Arthur coughed slightly and changed the subject with a strained smile.
"I heard that you generally have a light diet, right?"
Violet twitched the corners of her mouth and answered with a hollow smile, "Yes."
"I usually have a relatively light diet and rarely eat heavy food."
Violet nodded. "I can tell that you know how to keep in good health."
Arthur and Violet were chatting in a desultory kind of way.
Both of them were cautious, for fear that Ethan sitting on one side would interrupt.
After more than ten minutes, the two hit it off gradually, while Ethan sat still and did not embarrass them
anymore.
Adhering to the gentlemanly style, Arthur worried that Ethan would be left out, so he said politely, "I
have heard so much about you, Mr. Bond. But I really didn't expect you to be Violet's friend."
Ethan turned the cup in his hand, glanced at Arthur, and said with a meaningful smile, "I'm not just her
friend."
Arthur was speechless.
Violet was speechless.
Hearing Ethan's words, Arthur felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't find out what was wrong
for a time.
The atmosphere was awkward for a few seconds. With a strained smile, Arthur turned to look at Violet
and asked, "Well, Violet, it's almost noon. What do you want to eat?"
Violet was on the anxious bench because of Ethan's words.
When she was about to refuse Arthur, the mobile phone in her pocket suddenly rang.
Seeing that it was a call from Saylor, Violet felt that she was unexpectedly rescued from a desperate
situation.
After answering the phone, she gently asked Saylor if he had arrived in Cocanel and said that she was
going to the airport to pick up him.
When Saylor listened to Violet's words, he first wondered how she knew he had arrived in Cocanel and
then held his breath. He said, "Violet, if you are kidnapped, just cough twice."
Violet turned her back to the two men in the private room, saying through gritted teeth with a smile,
"Okay, just wait for me at the airport, and I'll be there right away."
Saylor wanted to say something else, but Violet had already hung up the phone.
After rejecting Arthur's invitation to have lunch, Violet took Ethan's car to the airport to pick up Saylor.
When they arrived at the airport, Saylor was sitting on his suitcase with a lollipop in his mouth at the
exit, looking innocent.
Ethan rolled down the car window and honked the horn. Saylor raised his head, and a flash of joy
flickered in his eyes. "Ethan."
Ethan propped himself up on the car window with one hand and said with a smile, "Get in the car."
Saylor nodded. He first put his suitcase in the trunk, then walked to the passenger seat. He opened the
door and sat in.
After getting in the car, Saylor said to Ethan, "Ethan, you two came so fast. I thought it would take a
while."
Ethan turned the steering wheel and answered with a smile, "We're just nearby."
"Do you happen to be shopping nearby?"
Ethan glanced at Violet and gave a positive answer.
Saylor didn't notice that the atmosphere in the car was strange. He fastened his seat belt and got close
to Ethan. "Ethan, I heard there's a new spicy food restaurant in Cocanel recently. Its dishes are very
delicious, aren't they?"
Ethan joked, "You were in Lespurg. How did you know that a new spicy food restaurant opened in
Cocanel?"
Saylor slightly coughed twice, touched the tip of his nose, and said, "My friend told me."
"Your female friend?"
Saylor was speechless. Ethan and he looked at each other for a while. He worried that Ethan would
find something, so he turned to look at Violet and asked, "Violet, do you want to eat spicy food?"
Violet looked at Saylor without any expression and said, "So you actually know I'm also in this car,
right?"
Saylor froze and was in a dilemma. Finally, he said while his stomach was growling, "It's hard to be a
man. It's harder to be a man who has a sister. It's much harder to be a man who has a sister and a
brother-in-law..."
