Chapter 25
Chapter 25
Don't be a troublemaker "Then arrange it if you think I can."
Annette said with chilly dignity after picking a piece of roast meat.
Veromca said carefully after thinking for a while, "I will arrange it after laying out some conditions."
Annette looked up to him impatiently, her black and bright eyes shining with a shadow of chilliness.
Her eyes pierced the defense line in Veromca’s heart.
Yet he still tried to hold on to the last front, "Try not to be a troublemaker there."
The "conditions" were finally settled as Annette answered slowly with a beautiful and wild smile, "I will be a good student there."
"What a fast talk! You could actually do anything as long as you don't beat people there."
Veromca rolled his eyes silently.
He pondered for a few seconds and opened his mouth, "Shiveport High School.Daisy and Chris are there, so the driver could pick you up too."
"No need." Annette said blandly.
"Lorraine and I will go boarding."
Living in the school dormitory? That may as well be a good idea, so that Annette might be persuaded by Lorraine at times.
Lorraine seemed like a good girl that kept discipline, and that would equal to having Annette keep discipline.
Veromcea thus didn’t make it hard for her.
"Do I need to prepare anything?"
Annette tapped the table with her fingers casually.
"Get my motorcycle over here from Livingston."
"OK.Will get it done this afternoon."
Veromca’s answer was unequivocal.
That weekend, Daisy went purchasing some student recourses with the fellow girls.
They chose a newly-open restaurant with good reputation for meal.
As these girls were sharing their study experience, one of them spot the three figures going out, "Daisy, isn’t that your father?"
Girls’ attentions were all attracted to that direction.
Daisy's face hardened when she turned round to discover Annette.
Oh no, that nasty girl again! "She looks quite cute, Daisy, is she your relative?"
Her friend asked.
Daisy put on a faint smile.
"Oh no.My father is engaged in some charity project and she may be one of the poor students involved."
"So it is." Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Looking at the cheap clothes Annette wore, her friend said in a drawl and put on a complicated smile.
"Shall we go up?"
Daisy nodded and walked toward the three.
"Father."
Veromca hadn't expected to meet his daughter.
"Daisy, why are you here?"
Daisy acted like a sweet good daughter.
"We are buying materials for school projects today, and are going to grab some food here."
Other girl greeted Veromca politely, yet their eyes were locked on Annette.
Half of Annette’s faced was hidden in the shadow of her black cap in the blazing sun.
Black hair over the shoulders, fair skin and long legs all rendered her enviably pretty in spite of her cold aura. She kept her lip shut, but the upward eye comers still emitted a shadow of evilness.
"She must be a tough guy."
Those girl said to themselves, as poor students always needed to strive in difficult conditions.
She might probably had had some social experience, and how could she compete with the noble students from Shiveport High School? Just a useless eye candy.
And the plain girl next to her just seemed weak enough to be picked on.
